This “doom merchants” patter is hilarious, given we have a day and a half left of the window and we need at least 3 quality players. It’s taken us 2 months to sign 5 players. And 2 of them were previous loanees desperate to join.

I think people can be forgiven for having doubts as to whether the board can deliver, given their absolutely shambolic dealings in the majority of windows over the last number of years.

 

Have you never experienced transfer deadline day? Deals could literally pop up out of nowhere on Friday evening with zero rumours before.

But don't get me wrong, I would feel a lot more relaxed if we had some good rumours appearing today.

Engels and Trusty will go to the last day, but I'm confident they'll get done. Would like to see a report of a concrete bid for Sanches today though, I'm worried that one could slip past.

I think the confusion comes from what was guaranteed and what was add ons. The whole deal was meant to be worth just under €5m so nearly £4.5m. With £2.5m being guaranteed and up to another £2m in add ons.
