All I will say it's a big 48 hours coming up and wouldn't like to see this place if we only get one more signing .

I think this is the main issue and not issues about being us unorganised. We are held prisoner by English money.

Every single club outside the Premier League apart from Real Madrid is a selling club operating in a universe that revolves around that league. Everyone waits for clubs in that league to act first as they can outspend everyone else, and hence everyone knows that the Prem money can trickle down to them if they hold off. Most players today are now signed with money that has come downstream from the Premier League.

Engels' price and availability depends entirely on Premier League money. If any team has come into money he is probably available and the price will be roughly what the other team has come into.

Augsburg will have known for a while that we had an interest in Engels. It only takes two minutes for them to figure out that our best player is most likely to leave also. It makes zero sense for any club we negotiate with to sell to us before we sell him to England. I suspect we have been negotiating long before O'Reily left but it would have all been hot air.

The fact that everything hinges on Premier League spending means more or less all clubs outside of it are in a transfer panic. It's not unique to us or something we can really do anything about unless we always buy players around the £2 million mark. Sky is the one creating the inflation in Engels' price...

Running around chasing our tails with 2 days of the window left. What absolute cluster * of an * club we are.

The board never fail to disappoint us. The feckers should be chased and replaced with people who aren't afraid to speculate to accumulate in order to take us to the next level

2 days left, need some big announcements tomorrow, get Engels, Sanchez and Trusty in and I'd be willing to say it's been a good window despite the length of time, get Engels and Trusty in and it's an okay window.

Get neither in and I'd honestly put it up there as one of the worst windows we've had, massive 48 hours coming up.

Can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said.

Time and time again this board have promised a better recruitment setup yet here we are once again trying to do the majority of our business in the final days of the window.

We’ve shot ourselves in the foot hoarding all this money, gloating about it and now we are being held to ransom by the clubs of the players we are trying to sign.

    A total *.

People calling for patience need to give themselves a shake. We’ve had multiple bids knocked back in the last 24 hours for two key targets - this is not the time to low ball. They’ve had all summer to negotiate.

Needs to be the minimum. I still think we want a winger on loan but sceptical as to whether that will get over the line.

If, and it’s a big if, we get those other three in I’ll be happy.

Anything in it or just a suggestion? Josh Cullen is a class act.

I think this is what we'll end up with, and I'll be happy if we do.

Not a bad player.. I just don't see where he gets game time. I don't think he can play either side of McGregor, so either McGregor is rested or moved further up pitch to accommodate Cullen. Personally I'd prefer Engels and a more attacking minded midfielder

Surely no way we sign 3 CMs.

Cullen would want guaranteed game time.

There’s absolutely zero chance Luke is our backup if Engels fails. I’m pretty certain we will get Engels anyway.

Would have Hatate, Mcgregor, bernardo and holm over cullen tbh if Engels and Alves came in he would be behind both of them too for me. Used to rate him but last 2 years anytime I watched him thought he was mediocre

There will be a riot if the result doesn’t go our way on Sunday, and the board deserve all they * get!!!
