Surely can spend a a million or two on a high calibre player on loan instead. Wasn't big on this boy either, especially for the number being mentioned.

I liked the look of his highlights but paying this much out for an MLS player would probably be up there with the biggest risks we've taken on a player, Engels at least has been doing it in a higher level league so he's less of a punt.

For depth I'd have 100% taken McCowan anyway on top of either or both these guys so hope we go for him anyway as someone proven in the league, whatever other targets pop up.

 

I think this will be more about the fee than us not bringing both in.

Wouldn’t be shocked if we go back for Sanches at £4m or so, which is fine.

We have pretty strong depth in midfield anyway. I’m more worried about wingers which is where I thought Bogusz might play.

Engels is the one we all want and it'll happen..

 

Ive a feeling Bogusz was the back up option to Engels in the sense that if we got both, happy days, if not Engels all the way then move on.

There is genuinely still plenty of time left in this window....

 

I'm okay if this doesn't materialise, I wasn't fully sold on him anyway especially for the price. Big risk imo for a guy who's only done it in MLS.

 

Don't think so Pad. Both completely different types for me and Brendan emphasised needing a couple of different players to replace O'Riley..

Unsure if this guy is worth it tbh. I know he's done well there but the MLS is hard to judge players. I know people can say that about Scotland but at least we have the Champions League as evidence.

Looked a decent player but a bit risky at the price being asked

 

Not fussed with this, I’d be strongly against paying £8m for a guy who looks good in a league in which Ryan Gauld and lewis Morgan look like superstars.
