I would love to get Bogusz but not for the price they ask. It is not easy to deal with MLS clubs as they ask kind of much for any player. Much blood money over there.

 

You say that but there is quality all
Over the world and within our budget but it means proper scouting and set up needed to get things done.

Not wait and see at the end of the window for players who are surplus to requirements this season for them.

To me it seems more lazy than having a set up like a proper scouting network with a director of football.

 

I doubt you would find a single person on here who wouldn’t agree that we need a complete overhaul of our recruitment and a proper scouting network in place. As Rodgers himself has said though; that’s irrelevant to the task at hand over the next few days as that can’t be done in that timescale.

So I’d much rather we pick up some players late in the window who Rodgers deems are of sufficient quality, rather than taking a chance on players the previous and inept scouting team identified.

 

We are going to take anyone who is available and be extra lucky they either turn good or we get a loan to buy deal again if they are good.

Playing a very dangerous game especially when we have to qualify for the champions league next season.

 

Or, in reality, we’re obviously not. Rodgers has already stated that he’s rejected the chance to sign multiple players this summer as he didn’t feel they were the right players.

Clearly yes, we’re nowhere near as well set up as we should be ahead of qualifiers next year. Something which the club have stated they intend to rectify before then. Whether that’s too little, too late remains to be seen.

The link won't go away. Wonder if he'd be one late in the window. If Lazio decide to move him on late.

 

Or both as I don’t see them getting much game time this season.

 

He's a good player. Decent pedigree in the Europa League too if I remember right...
