While I quite like Iwata, even if he’s never really managed to have a proper standout performance, I’ll be incredibly surprised if he’s still here come September. I could see him getting a move like Oh where a decent enough side from the continent offers up a couple of million and he’ll be on his way.

Regarding Palma, wasn’t there some chat the other day that he has admirers in the MLS and that it’s just a case of waiting for January when their window opens again?

 

Our recruitment is depressing in last couple years, the dross we have bought, actually trying to move on the majority of guys just bought last summer.

Have no confidence in this lot now to bring in the quality required.

SCOTT BURNS: I would expect Mateusz Bogusz to arrive from LAFC and Celtic also to push for Augsburg's Arne Engels as a replacement for Matt O'Riley. I would expect a defender or two, a winger and possibly another striker so they have strength in depth.

Seems to be wider brief by the club that we're looking for 4-5 in.

 

I'm very encouraged by the moves that we seem to be making and the quality of player we're being linked with.

However, I would really like us to sign another CCV level Centre Back, that's a must for me.

 

Now, if only we had a few months to have gotten them all in the doors instead of waiting for the last 5 days and risk running out of time...

Happy with Vella - would rather more experienced, but I'll admit I've a soft spot for Barca so I'll be excited about this

A CB to partner CCV is a must.

And a little worrying we don't seem to be focusing on it.

No, we’ll be signing a centre back. I’d be very surprised (and disappointed) if it’s Trusty.
