Need to pull the trigger now on both Engels and the polish lad from LAFC.

Nothing short of them both (or better) will do for restrengthening the midfield now.

Get those two in and make a deal for a loan to buy on Beck, along with a CB to truly partner CCV.

Only then will this be considered a decent window.

Toss in another winger of a similar level and we are laughing.
The only criticism will be the drawn out process of it all.

To be fair, if we get the above and a CB of high quality, then I'd be happy enough with the wait and consider it a good window, albeit my main complaint would be not bringing in Beck far earlier.

Not clinging onto too much regarding the CB considering the only recent like is Trusty, who was abysmal last season, but you never know

There hasn't been any links with Engels or Wijndal for ages. I don't think they're coming.

Nobody is taking this out on the players in the squad, you need to separate people venting their displeasure towards the board from backing the team. FFS the reason people have been losing their * all summer is because they care so much about the team on the park being as good as it possibly can be.

We all support the Celtic but the dinosaurs on the board are holding us back! Acknowledging that rather than talking down to your fellow Celtic fans would go a long way to making you seem less of a condescending * on here (imo).

Protests need to happen if we don't sign proven quality. Remember the banner the green brigade had "Don't fall asleep at the wheel" well its happening again....

Rodgers said today incomings were not dependent on outgoings and we had not spent much money so far. If we do now do business it looks as though it was very much dependent on MOR going.

I think that was a given tbh. I posted in here last week that I expect our outlay to be about £25m total this window - hence why were holding out for that fee with Atalanta. Be mental if we spend less tbh.

I'd say nothing will happen until after the St Mirren game then there will be an absolute flurry (I hope)

Aye and the sky is blue mate.

It's either a massive disaster or a massive relief that we somehow pull off what's required.

He’s the midfielder we have been linked with that I have wanted the least but the twitter talk is Sanches will be signed from Lausanne

Watched this video of him last night and tbh it's changed my mind on him. He looks pretty good and someone Rodgers could work on.

    I'd like him and Engels.

But it's probably more likely it'll be him and Diawara. Which I'm torn on as both can be considered projects but both look pretty good and add pace and in the case of Diawara, power to the midfield.

Definitely looks a good player on the ball but I'd worry he would be too lightweight to fully utilise his talent. Very slight.

Diawara to me seems a bit raw considering we've been waiting around all summer for "quality".

    Agree on both points.

But there's numerous points in that reel where he also bounces off some challenges and has a turn of pace which will help.

Diawara is ideally someone I'd bring in if Iwata left and Holm went on loan. Think he looks a cracking prospect tbh. So I'd not really want to miss out on him.

Agree though we need 1st team ready quality but it doesn't mean we should ignore good deals foe younger players if they become available.

Definitely not against him but Engels and Tessman were the two I wanted. Sanches looks good but lightweight, which worries me.

I wanted them two as well but tesseman links were really loose and I hate to say it similar to the Engels ones. Came out over 24hrs and then pretty much nothing but the record regurgitating it every day since.

Have a feeling we won't pay the fee required to get Engels.

Tesseman would have been ideal. Looks to have a bit if everything.

Re: the last paragraph I do agree but if it was just Sanchez and Diawara but we lose out on Engels (who despite being 20 has a lot more pedigree) just to save money then the waiting for quality line really doesn't wash.

Bogusz at least seems to have the profile of a player coming into his peak, albeit the MLS isn't a good barometer. But gives me Giakoumakis vibes.

Guys like Sanchez, Beck and Kvistgaarden just strike me as lightweight and risky gambles though.

It's even worse than that now, we've more money than we've ever had probably more money in the bank that 99.999% of every football club ever have ever had.

And we are not even asleep at the wheel, the * haven't even entered the motor yet.
