Got to feel for him...he must've came back here after being promised more than those * have given him. If he isn't backed properly in the coming week then Celtic fans need to come up with something to deal with these absolute charlatan's running out club..the fans ambition must be met and if they aren't prepared to at least try then they need chased somehow.

 

Don't feel to positive after seeing his press conference.

 

Lucky to have this man as manager. Thought he was pretty spot on with everything he said and I’m glad there was questions asked that most fans want answered. Think Brendan has made his ambitions clear and I just hope the board and recruitment team are doing their best to help him get what he wants. A week to go though is doubtful we get everything we want

I'm turning off to his soundbites just now. They're boring and predicable. I get why he's coming across the way he is as well.

Whilst he's done a very good job last season. That doesn't mean much for the here and now. His job is to build upon that success. And quite frankly he's not and goodwill won't last forever. But there's a week to go, we may get a few in so I'll hold off on him now.

 

Pretty clear from that extended press conference where Brendan is pointing the finger.

He praises the scouting/ recruitment team for coming up with targets says they are working tirelessly. He is then clear he identifies who he wants from their list and mentions its over to the board to do the deals and there was certainly no praise given there.

He quotes missing players e.g we aren’t landing our main targets; he quotes we haven’t spent a lot of money compared to what we could; says he understands the fans frustrations as they want what he does to improve the team, almost implying someone doesn’t want that.

Ends with saying we basically have to do business over the next week. Also was not committed on players not being sold basically just saying we don’t have offers for certain ones but sounds like that could change very quickly. Also nothing imminent incoming when you have 7 days to go and saying we need to be very busy was all telling.

 

I'm keeping my powder dry until the weeks out and we see where are. I think the MOR saga is holding the works up, but hopefully this is concluded by Monday latest.

how can he build on success if we don’t back him with quality signings bizarre thing to say. How can he also get in good quality without a decent footballing structure. He’s working with one arm tied behind his back due to our ineptitude in recruitment

 

Listening to him he's basically saying they're in the same place as last season.

Looks like we've just sold our best player with a tricky game on Sunday and a massive game a week after with no sign of anyone coming in.
