Well if an offer from Man City does actually come in that's all well and good, but surely Kyogo could stay for another crack at the champions league with us, then in six months he'll get an even bigger move....

Bigger move than man city, play for pep his old vissel kobe coach as pep no2 they might be based on money but they are only bettered currently by real Madrid and kyogo ain't getting a move there. They come in with £20m he is gone.

Or a worse move or no move at all...

If a big wage to play League Cup games at Man City is on the table I suspect he'll want it here and now. He is from the other side of the world, has no ties to here really and it's a short career. Very rare for a player not to think about the large wage directly in front of their face, which in a way is understandable.

Honestly, after thinking about this last night, if the offer is £20 million (which I highly doubt) it would probably be stupid for us to not take it.

See being honest if someone offers £20m for him then we will be in a scenario of having a very unhappy striker if it is turned down and rightfully so.

See this up in arms because Matt O’Riley, Hatate, Kyogo and CCV have interest just doesn’t sit with me. We sell the club to players to come here, win things, play CL football and put yourself in the shop window.

If one of the top clubs in world football takes an interest in a Striker who isn’t getting into his national team, which is a massive deal to him and no doubt will offer him multiples of his salary after three strong seasons for Celtic and we get 4 times what we paid for him. That is the model a club in our league need to run.

Hatate is similar a club in Spain or England offer 10x what we paid after strong performances for us, having won everything there is to win in Scotland, stood out against Real Madrid.

CCV may be happy just now but see if come January and we are coasting domestically but failing in Europe, how long will he be happy before he fancies a move to one of the bigger leagues?

Ange’s season 1 signings are into their fourth season here playing the same dross week in week out with a handful of big games a season domestically and similar in Europe.

See this opportunity to have brought in big fees for a few first team players but go out and make the squad stronger as a whole, should not be treated by those running the club as a surprise.

Kyogo has ties to here. Hatate, Maeda, Iwata. It's easier to be abroad if you have compatriots with you.

It was sarcasm mate, I know that doesn't always come across written down. Been pishing myself at people saying that sort of thing about O'Riley being linked away that giving us another six months would be good for him, sure people were saying the same of Jota last year, it's delusional.

It’s quite a big assumption to make to think he’s great friends with Hatate, Maeda or Iwata purely because they’re Japanese. In fact; I believe his biggest friend in his time here was Jota who is already away.

He’s now been in Glasgow for 3 years so culturally a move to Manchester wouldn’t exactly be a shock to the system.

It’s quite an assumption to make that moving from Glasgow to Manchester that there wouldn’t be a change culturally ….. many a player from up here has went down south and came back a year later mainly because they didn’t settle

Look at Kevin nisbet for instance

Would take £10-15m + James McAtee.

Then sign Engels. Between both you could replace MOR and have cash to hopefully go towards a kyogo replacement.

At this stage if he's to go we need to try and get as much out of deals as possible and make sure our ducks are in a row. Hilarious concept for our board, mind.

I don’t think it is crazy to suggest with O’Riley though. He was linked with Atletico in January of the back of his CL performances. That would be a far bigger move than Brighton. So if he was to have a good CL, there’s every chance a club like Atletico come back in for him. The one with Jota I agree is delusional, because there’s no chance any of our players were turning down that kind of money.

So you don’t think that moving from Kobe to Glasgow is a far bigger cultural adjustment than moving from Glasgow to Manchester? Or you don’t think that spending three years in Glasgow is a good stepping stone between Kobe and Manchester and would make adjusting to Manchester considerably easier?

He is 29 with a dodgy shoulder. He won't get better.
I am crying at the thought, although nothing like losing Rogic to be fair.
£20M comes in, sell and invest.

There is a difference between being home sick and a cultural change.

Glasgow to Manchester, for someone who isn't native to Glasgow or has family roots here, isn't going to be an issue.

I'd love us to include a Man City prospect in the potential deal. They should be open to offers now that the 6-loans rule is in effect. We got Frimpong and Paddy Roberts from them. Both amazing acquisitions.
