Much do we get sell on from crystal Palace for French Eddy, if kyogo goes for £20m and they value eddy at anything less than that and take off our sell on its a deal

I completely see where you're coming from and how alot of that on paper could apply to Kyogo. For me though, if you look back at how City sign players over the years and even Pep at his other clubs, I just don't see the logic behind this one at all. Sure the FFP is affecting some teams transfer activities but this is a million miles away from City's normal way of working. I don't see any team paying what Celtic value Kyogo at, which this late in the window has to be around the £20M mark. Saw some rumblings about Kyogo asking for a move last week and that he was disappointed we'd turned down offers for him etc but I'm sure 90% of what we'll see between now and the end of the window is the usual * to paint a narrative that all our best players want away. Especially when the other half of the city are in turmoil. I believe O'Riley will be away, but don't think Kyogo, Hatate or CCV will be going anywhere during this window.

I genuinely don’t think we could turn down £20m plus. He’s 29, has injury problems and it would be an absolutely unreal move for him, working with the best manager ever.

Triple his wages, play in one of the best teams in the world, surrounded by utter geniuses like Foden/De Bruyne? Would be near impossible to keep him.

    Neither do I..

25 mill would be unreal business for a 29 year old striker but only if we had quality targets that our recruitment had lined up to come in..

Kvistgaarden would be a good shout for me.

Wijndal for £7m, O’Shea for £10m plus Johnston, Engels for £10m, Bogusz for £7m, Toure for £5m, Kvistgaarden for £7m

    What’s that? £46m? O’Riley for £28m and Kyogo for £20m… you’d be in * profit

We’ve had a great relationship with city for a very long time now. Anything between £15 mil and the reported £25 mil I think we’d take. But I can see city paying the extra as that extra 10 mil is nothing to them.

worrying it’s so late though and we won’t get the cover we need. 2 strikers are needed if he leaves and that’s gonna be hard to entice players here when we’ve just signed another striker for £8.5 million

Wish our transfers were as easy as fifa! Haha I can only see O’Shea happening if he wants to experience playing for the club I’m guessing he supports? Think bogusz will definitely happen (not sure what I think of that signing). Can’t see any of the others happening tho. Think we’ll see 2/3 left field loans and then I think they’ll push for beck at £3/4 mil

Pep must have took Kyogo's goal in that pre-season friendly too personally...

£20m+ would be phenomenal business for him.

If we could properly replace him (Kvistgaarden for this bear) then I wouldn’t be against it.

City are on a level of club who would pay players that kind of money in WAGES alone over a couple of years... They'd probably recoup the entire amount in about a month with Kyogo jersey sales in Japan alone... Think you're losing your scale of how insane their money is... It's a club that earns about £0.75Bn a year in revenue...

Reluctantly coming to accept that there is some truth to the rumour. It seems so ridiculous but there's more sources on it than basically any other rumour connected with our club this window. It's like the Jota rumour, it sounds insane but it's probably true.

I personally think City are making a mistake and Kyogo's not at that level. However, if they're offering £20m+, we should take it. I know the Japanese play til they're 40 but realistically he relies on speed and mobility and already has recurrent injuries. It's likely the way that he plays and his age that his best is already behind him. Take the money.

£25m would be pretty insane considering he's 30 in January.

Again at the risk of being a broken record, we'd surely only entertain it if we had someone ready to come in or already signed.
