Feels almost like a rebuild on our hands. If all these reports have substance, and I am not doubting them, then it appears Brendan is rebuilding the spine of the team.

Fair enough. But hardly weakens the LB argument

Call me mental but in actual fact this could turn out to be one of our best ever transfer windows.

It's more out of hope than expectation, the thinking is that this time the Board's hand will be forced, also we are slowly but surely offloading deadwood.

I'm trying to find a miniscule of optimism to cling on to. :84:

We dont know whats been said perphaps Rodgers has been told hes getting x to spend and can only bring in players if someone goes out.

We just wanted 6 players in day 1 ready to go never works like that.

I feel like this genuinely could be one of the worst transfer windows ever, up there with Tony Mowbray's if we lose all our * best players. I don't trust our board to replace them with quality. I am heading over from Ireland to the Hearts game, I'll be lucky if we have a * team.

£25M if that list is right.
And I would want McCowan included for just another £1M.

Would be £29m as Toure would cost £5m too.

    Right.

We can afford that. That is if we really want Toure. £25M without him.
£45M coming in, plus all the previous.

Polish boy is one of them links that gets us all excited and he’s supposedly between £6-8M. So that’s enough to tell you it’s not gonna happen.

It’s the fairly underwhelming or realistic links that end up happening and tbf a lot of them pay off.

We can pay decent money but that’s usually only after the player has proven themselves on loan.

Sanches is most likely out the midfielders id say. Surely get another striker and CB too. LB on loan would be my guess. Doubt we would do anymore than that tbh. Already spent a fair bit so don’t see any big money (for us) signings to come in.

Selling O'Reilly and Kyogo will be madness and self sabotage far as I'm concerned as their replacements won't guarantee they will hit the ground running and are the board wanting a * title race this season as that's alot of goals and assists going out of the team .

Net outlay should be +£25-£30M minimum (Inc wages)
So that's gross £55-£60M in new players assuming MoR exit only. More if we lose others.

We'd still have approx £70-£80M left in bank after UCL income.

We simply should not be bringing in more than we spend if we seriously want to improve.
