OK. Well, I don't see it. I'm genuinely not worried. If I'm wrong about that, I'm about to have my worldview really shaken! Hopefully I'm not wrong.

Just don’t see him as good enough for Man City. Realise they play a different system but several times last season people wanted him subbed and Idah brought on. He’s a good player but multi million Man City? Hope he stays

Guys this is as absurd as O'Reilly going to Real Madrid. Zero chance this happens.

I could see him at Man City.

If you delete their physical charecteristic with Haaland being a machine and big and strong, the reality of him on a park is he does pretty much the same as Kyogo, barely sees the ball and really is only there to kick it into the net because he has clever movement and positioning.

That game the other day I remember after he scored against Chelsea he didn't touch the ball until like 10 minutes into the 2nd half was something like 40 minutes without touching the ball. Like Kyogo under Ange.

Guardiola's style of play really is that they play with 10 men and then Haaland tries to score goals similar to Ange really with us and Kyogo does do the role well as his movement and off the ball play and positioning is elite as well. He could even look better at Man City as he'd be picked out more as he'd be playing with Gundogan, Bernardo and De Bruyne who are 3 of the best playmakers about and now they have 2 wee dribblers out wide who get in behind and balls in constantly.

Although people look at Haaland as quick, strong, can run like *, has a really good shot on him it's useless really to Man City, none of it gets used, he never gets space to run, he doesn't really get involved in physical battles in or out the box and he rarely gets any time or space to shoot. 90% of his goals are probably one touch inside the box where he uses smart movement to get there or good positioning to be in the right areas which are the same things Kyogo would offer Kyogo probably even does that stuff better than 99% of strikers.

Changed his agent. Celtic trying to get Idah cheaply then all of sudden spending £9.5M. Few things pointing to some truth in this. Like a lot of guys from across the planet playing in the EPL is the be all and end all.

Maeda up front at the weekend there (as another test/experiment) when we had a £9.5m proven striker who’s been here for 8 months now on the bench. Also giving his shoulder a rest when usually we/he won’t bother and just play.

He’s played 3 full seasons which is the max most good players play here before being sold for profit (most less time).

Rodgers went straight with Maeda in his first pre season game which probably didn’t go down all that well and over the year Kyogo wasn’t always in the team as much as Ange had him and clearly struggled with Rodgers system. Wasn’t his usually goal scoring self.

He probably thinks he’s done all he can here and it’s his last chance to get a big move to a big European club and get a in the national team. That with Rodgers maybe not fancying him as much. Also a big factor will be the boards transfers model and now would be the time to sell.

Aye, when I look at it like that it all makes perfect sense. As much as I would love him to stay i think he’ll go and himself and our board will be happy for it to happen.

I don’t have any doubt he would be a useful option for City. I just struggle to see City actually giving us the respect of thinking one of our strikers is good enough for them.

What worries me is people saying Pep’s number 2 worked with Kyogo before. This would be an absolutely kick in the balls if it happened. I just can’t see it.

For me the big indicator was our tight * board all of a sudden caving and spending £9.5m on Idah, which is what Norwich were demanding. An injury doesn’t make our board do that, they would still sit tight. They knew City were in, they know it won’t go down well, they knew they had to get Idah back at whatever cost. £9.5m was that cost. Kyogo is 100% off.

I seriously hope this doesn't happen. We'll not get anything else like him this late in the window.

Absolutely zero chance he's going to Man City, most mental rumour I've heard in a while. Probably his agent putting it about cos we signed Idah.

I'd actually like to see him going there just because i'd want to see it. Would be good to see if a guy with limited physicality probably hed be one of the weakest players in the EPL would be capable of scoring for fun just with pure intelligence on a park and better movement.

We don't see him to his full potential as we're not that great a team and especially last season played pish football but you wonder what Kyogo would do for Man City, could he score 30 a season or would he get bullied and be useless.

It wouldn't surprise me if Kyogo goes to Manchester City, my only surprise is that Ange never made a move for Kyogo before, given how often he played him and valued him when he was with us.

My guess is Idah will be No.1 striker this year.

We should have succession plans for all our key players, should they leave. We all know that's not how we work though.

Despite Hart announcing his retirement in Feb, it took Rodgers picking up the phone to Schmeichel in late June to get the ball rolling for a replacement.

We've also been crying out for a LB (for competition at the very least) for 18 months minimum - yet here we are 10 days out from the end of the window with 1.

On that basis I'd be against selling Kyogo this late on - but he isn't irreplaceable, if we had proper, effective recruitment.

We take him for granted. Wouldn't have won the league without him last year if not for his class goals vs the huns.

Not really. No player is indispensable, and it's teamwork.
I could suggest we wouldn't have won the league last year either, bar for Idah, Scales and Hart's contribution.
