Aye, most of his games have been up top. Barely played as an 8 and yet he's to be our O'Riley replacement..

    Doesn't make sense..

What I don't get though is why would we go for this boy for this kinda money when it's roughly the same as what Kvistgaarden would've cost. So maybe he isn't the 3rd type option and will be for midfield, or maybe a switch in what we're doing to a 10....which I'd hate..

    Slightly odd..

Reckon we’ll bring in both him and Sanchez and opt out of the Engels deal

"He’s played as a false nine for us. It may not show up on the stats but throughout the game our front three are constantly switching sides. So although it may be he played as our nine, he was also playing on the right and left wing during the game."

If the past is any indication, it would more likely be Bogusz (or a similarly valued player) and McCowan.

    Hope no mate..

Want Engels the most out of the links..

Bogus and Sanches would be too lightweight together without someone like an Engels..

Engels as the O'Riley replacement, Sanches as a fairly cheap other addition to midfield and Bogusz for one the front 3 positions and that would be more like it..

Rodgers is on record as saying we'd need more than 1 player to replace O'Riley..

Hmm maybe mccowan instead of Sanchez. I’d rather Engels the most myself but I don’t know if we’ll spend money needed for the fee. I think bogusz looks good and another one in with id be happy enough with tbf but would be disappointed to miss out on Engels. I think with bogusz that Rodgers might want to go back to having an out and out 10 with him in that role behind O’Riley then the other cm as an option in behind with calmac and Hatate… could then also rotate bogusz into the front 3 positions then whenever needed. I do hope it’s Engels as our priority though

See if you're taking it as what's needed from those named. You'd have McCowan over Sanches as him snd Bogusz for the attacking mid positions would leave us needing someone in the 6, where McCowan would play..

But obviously I'd rather we get Engels and much better overall. Let's hope they pleasantly surprise us..

I think there’s no chance the window closes without us getting a left back in as brendan has talked about “competition” there on a few occasions but the lack of news on a cb is worrying. Especially adding in more players needed with O’Riley going etc we’re leaving ourselves a lot to do in little time

Looks a decent player but I just can't see how he's a replacement for MOR. He's a different type of player and an unknown in the MLS. The Belgian boy was more of a replacement type.

Doesn't matter what we say anyway it won't change anything.

Strange one this. Not a midfielder, striker or winger. Don’t really know who he’d be signed to cover/improve on.

The fee would suggest he’d be signed to start most games.

As others have said, hard to read much into his stats given how pish MLS is.

The stats shown above suggest he is anything but a midfielder.

This seems a bit similar to that Schlupp link, someone quite versatile.
