How much left on his contract? I dont think we are getting a big fee unfortunately due to his age too. He's not ancient but soon 30. A disaster for us in every single way and i FULLY * EXPECT the board to go out smashing 20m+ in the last 10 days to make up for it.

    19 goals in 50 games
    14 in 38 league games

That's not good enough for a starting striker of a team that dominates possession and is regularly playing against clearly inferior opposition.

He's scored a wad of goals for us, that is fact.

You've mentioned to players he is either bettered or the same scoring rate as too, and remember back then huns were probably in a worse state that now initially, unbelievably.

To label him as a one trick pony is way off the mark.

There's a big difference between being good enough for a mid-table EPL team (which he absolutely is) and being good enough for one of the best 4 or 5 teams on the planet (which he just isn't).

Has missed plenty of matches due to that shoulder aswell, I actually dont think hes ever been the same since he injured it in the 4-0 huns game back in September 2022, always felt I've seen a difference in him since then.

I don't believe that the story is true. However, he won't give a * about sitting on the bench, especially if he's going to be coached by the greatest manager ever. If he's on £30k a week right now, they could easily treble his wages for 3 years. That's a £15m contract.

He will then be able to head back to Japan, after 3 years at City, and earn a decent wee living back home, for a 2/3 years before hanging up his boots, a very very wealthy man.

This is true. He would score for fun for City as teams have a go at eachother in that league. Under BR system he have not been as effective. With that said i prefer BR system to Ange as we are more solid defensively.

City’s recruitment strategy is absolutely wild with the amount of scouts they have around the world, he may well be on a list of targets they have found to play the way they do however he will be one of plenty of names they are looking at I don't think anything will come of it.

He's already a very wealthy man, mate. Why trade in playing time (which has a hard deadline approaching) for money (which he can continue to make for decades into the future)? Look how that's working out for Jota (and Jota is much younger than Kyogo and so can still come back from this).

I know we all would play for Celtic over any other club, i also agree that playing for Celtic makes you wealthy enough. 5 years on 25k per week gives you so much money you can live a luxury life untill death, but lets be honest my friend. No footballer on earth is turning down Man City.

They will be looking to get players on the cheap though. That’s why the window has been pretty quiet in general. Teams are now fearing points deductions.

I much prefer Ange's system, but that ship has sailed. About time we restructured the squad to match BR's needs.

Plus he’s won everything he can with us, he can go to City to win the EPL and possibly CL while being on at least £50K per week. We can’t compete with that.

Fact they pay £60m for backup defenders means they can pay the same for backup strikers. £60m or * off.

I'm not arguing that it's because of Celtic, mate; I'm saying he'd be mad to go there because he won't get game time. It would also be a bit odd for City to sign a 29-year-old who is equivalent in quality to a good mid-table EPL player.

As I say, if this were a rumour linking him with Fulham or Bournemouth or Southampton or something, I'd be really worried.

Based on what? If it’s simply your opinion, I disagree.

With his shoulder issue, I'm not against it if it's 15-20m+.
