I absolutely love kyogo but if we are offered stupid money for a soon to be 30 year old we should take it.. the club simply have to get the recruitment correct in a very short period of time

Hes no meada anyway. Gets 1 shot at being striker and scores 2. Tbh wouldn't be missed half as bad as people think. He works great in a ange team, last years numbers showed not so much in rodgers system. However no chance he goes.

Kyogo (respectfully) is nowhere near good enough for City, he also has 3 to 4 month operation pending and is 29 years old.
    Not a fecking chance.

You see there is this as well, he is nearly 30 and if we do get offered serious cash it would be hard to turn down. We need a poacher in as a replacement though

We were playing against offensive-minded teams, hence Kyogo could run into space. Most of our games are against teams parking the bus. Totally different situation for Kyogo.

Given Maeda's recent performance against Hibs, he might become our new pressing forward. That said, if Kyogo leaves we should definitely sign one more striker. Not sure whether we have identified specific targets. I have zero trust in our scouting network.

Hoarding cash and maximising profit is just standard company behaviour mate. It doesn’t need to be ‘for’ anything.

Shareholders own the company and they want the share price to go up. The way to do that is post increasing cash-in-bank and larger profits.

That is the job of the board and CEO. I don’t even criticise them for it.

My only point is there needs to be balanced which is why it is the job of the supporter (read: customer) to push back.

It’s why I get annoyed when so many supporters clamp down on anyone with any criticism of the board.

It is one of the most important functions of the support.

It’s now time to panic I think, hardly a sniff of anything coming in but lots of noise on our best players leaving. Complete and utter shambles as per with this board.

We’ve got a top drawer manager who’s proved once he won’t hang around if he’s unhappy at what’s going on and the board are playing Russian roulette again. They’re so focussed on the circus across the road that they know we can hoard cash whilst neglecting the football club and still just about get away with it as per mainly because the Huns are in such a mess.

Unless we somehow go on a huge spree this last week and a bit and sign more players than we have done in 2 windows combined then it’s been another complete disaster.

As it stands we’re going into another champions league campaign with Taylor our only left back options, Scales our second centre half, losing our best player from last season and potentially having 1 striker within the club. That’s without even touching the lack of depth we have out wide or at centre half. Absolute disgrace but it’s ok cause we’re still better than the Huns.

He's no going to replace Halland, but he would offer something different. Alavarez left and would walk into 95% of teams, you're missing the point. They need a player who would come in, do a job and be happy to be rotated as when need. Kyogo wages go into another level, back in the national squad fold and will win medals. He would be playing with a better team, coach and set up. The chances they create would allow him to score. The point is, they ain't spending 50 million on a player who's happy to be a sub. It ain't happening. Kyogo would be happy to go and be part, but is also handy to them for scoring goals and his movement alone is up there with the best. If iniesta can pick him out am sure de Bruyne, fodden ect won't have an issue either. This is why he is good enough to join Man city. Halland is the golden boy, kyogo would be the support. Just like Larrson was at Barca. Obviously on different levels but the point stands.

    * me.

9 days to go and we are starting to stare at the real possibility of losing Kyogo, Hate and MOR.

A bit strange from a City perspective, they could choose almost any other ST in world football as back-up to Haland, why go for Kyogo?

The links I've seen are saying they'd use him as a winger too, a bit strange.

For me, it's far too late in the window to let him go, he's starting to gel into Rodgers system as well.

Oh *. I think this is happening, first reports said city wanted gundogan secured first to return. Didn’t seem like that would be city’s first option from the outside as their squads already ageing…. Gundogan deal done just now. Kyogo was reported to be next.

if he goes fair play but we have let this happen ourselves. There’s a few city youth players we should be asking about, Heskeys son is the one I’d want us to go in for and I think he’d suit Rodgers style of play

Is this a bit if downsizing on the financial side for City? This will be devastating if it happens. Wouldn't even believe a bit of it if it wasn't from that Fabrizo twitter guy.

They are considering Eze from Crystal Palace. He’s younger so that might sway it for City. He turned 26 in June.

That was a fairly unique situation where key players were identified by Ange from having watched them up close and personal. Added to that, we were able to sign Kyogo for 4-5 million because of the Asian market. If he'd been playing in a similar level European league, he likely would have been valued at over double that.

Outside of that, what I would say is that there has been close to zero evidence that our current recruitment is anywhere close to what it was under Ange. I don't know why that is, but it's clearly the case.

So yeah, panic time is almost upon us

No need to ask iniesta. Man city's assistant manager was Kyogos manager at kobe. That's why I'm worried there maybe something in this

He's also going to cost in excess of £60 million. We might be willing to sell Kyogo for 15.

So it depends on what their strategy is. Eze would be pushing for a starting place. Kyogo would almost exclusively be a backup.
