Barry Bannans about 35, and he’s been average for the majority of his career.

Gilmours a wee hun but he’s a good player.

To be fair i'd say they are about the same level. Tidy but limited players.

Both wee, weak, no legs, can't run, can't defend, tidy on a ball but no real quality on a ball either and not any real attacking quality either to be able to play further forward.

Both were probably overhyped at the start and will end up with similar careers. Surprised Napoli want Gilmour although seems it's Conte himself who wants him as he was at Chelsea with him when he was about 18 but Napoli must be hesitant as I think Brighton would bite their hand off to get their money back.

If that's true he's already on his way down the road.

    That could be 28million euros

Alex Crook on talksport says we are wanting 30million for him

I think Bannan is underrated. He's had a very solid career in the Championship, constantly been one of Sheffield Wednesday's best players. Every time I catch one of their games he virtually runs the show from midfield.

If you look at their stats, Bannan has played slightly fewer minutes in the EPL compared to Gilmour with slightly better stats. They're similar players, just think Bannan in his pomp was probably better than what we've seen from Gilmour so far.

Yeah, all just seemed bitterness to me. They had been continually lowballng and I think they just wanted to blame us rather than have people blame them for being cheapskates.

Brighton wouldn't deal with a Scottish club in Euros surely.

If it’s £28m then that’s good business from us imo.

£28m plus a couple of million in bonuses plus a sell on would be decent I think.

Sell on is the key one. Especially given how much they make on fees

MK Dons will be on a decent bit of what we get. 15-20% I would imagine

That’s it for me, they lowballed us and never got close to our evaluation. Now trying to put the blame back on us late on because they missed out when they probably could have got him for £25m with an early bid, just to appease their fans.

I’d say Brighton was scouting Hatate, then thought we will have big sexy instead.

They were doing to us what Juve were doing to them to keep us on the hook, clear as day.

Maybe. It just screams of them looking for an excuse after getting nowhere near to our initial valuation. Not sure how they can claim we moved the goalposts though. Because for them to know that, they would have had to bid what our initial valuation was. Otherwise how do they know we would have then rejected the offer?
