The media reports are the 25 million quid fee which was intimated to be what we wanted no longer existed. That means we moved the goalposts.

I dont think the club will accept 25m. Its clear as day from Rodgers comments about the players value and that 22m was not nearly enough. Never seen this type of comments when Jota left by the club.

Atalanta’s highest offer was reported at a smidgen over £21m. I’d imagine we would want at least £25m prior to any add ons.

I wouldn’t best league in the world playing against better opposition week in and week out than those other teams. And Brighton are in and Europe in EPL. Sure they were quarter finalist last year

We did, now we no longer do according to Atalanta. The 25 million mark no longer exists according to Reports directly from them.

Who knows regarding reporting but one of those Italian Journalists claimed we were after €30m with €5m more in add ons. So it would be about £25.6m with £4.25m add ons based on today’s exchange rate. All in close to £30m.

No idea how accurate that is. I could see us accepting something in that region. Enough to herald a record sale and then add ons to take it to sweeten the deal. Add in a sell on % too.

Never realised Skipp went for that much, he's distinctly average. Probably worth about £12m tops.

£30m for Matt and not a penny less.

They were knocked out in the last 16 by Roma last season and have no European football this season. Atalanta are in the CL this season having won the Europa League last year and finished 4th in Serie A. Brighton went on to finish 11th in their league. Inter won Serie A and Atletico made the quarters of the CL and will be playing CL football this year also.

If O'Riley goes (which I thing he will to Brighton) then it's with best wishes, as he's been a class act from the moment he signed. He's going to a well run club (who we should be looking at seriously off the field), who will progress him.

Brighton selling and replacing all in one fell swoop....it'll never catch on!!

Rodgers must go in demanding he's backed properly now. Don't care if he makes that weed Nicholson cry, leathers Mckay and Lawell lick the * of his shoe to make it happen.

He needs backed or we risk losing him also.

So Atalanta knew we were wanting £25m before add ons, but were offering £14m at one point? No sure I’d believe a word Atalanta are saying to be honest. They never reached the £25m so not sure how they can say we’ve moved the goalposts if they never met our initial valuation.

You wonder what Big Ange thinks of stuff like that.

Him having coached * wee teams in Australia and that, seeing a completely mediocre basically English Kenny McLean type guy being sold for £25million he must think it's absolute mental and that some of these clubs with money must be asbolutley clueless.

He probably managed loads of * close to the level of Skipp in Australia and Japan who weren't seen as being worth anything.

He's probably no better than Barry Bannan or Kenny McLean were when they were 25.

£25million, Leicester should be liquidated for that.

Barry Bannan is actually really underrated. Way better than Billy Gilmour for example.
