Just watched Idah's goal in the cup final. Bernardo did brilliantly riding a tackle, driving forward and getting the shot off. Another player who could really grow into the side and have a brilliant season.

 

Actually, would start him on Sunday..

 

I can see your thinking but given his lack of game time in pre-season whats more likely is he just comes off the bench earlier and gets more time that way maybe even bring him on at half.

 

Got a feeling that Rodgers very much still sees Bernardo as a work in progress so we may still see another CM come in regardless of us selling MOR. I doubt we would have pushed the boat our for him if Benfica had asked too much.

A good player to have mind you but need to take our time with him.

Looked sharp, hungry and direct - really promising

 

Does the simple things so efficiently and makes him a very effective sub at the moment

 

He is excellent at finding space and picking the right pass when in central positions.

 

Aye I was impressed with his wee cameo..

Quick feet for the Palma chance, with his left toe and was going by a couple of players easily..

 

Looking forward to seeing him up to full speed and getting a chance. He was skipping by his man with ease today and hardly wasted a pass. He also made some good late runs in to the box that just weren’t picked out by low crosses or cut backs.

 

He’s been pretty good in nearly every game since Xmas time. Rarely loses it can pick a a pass and score too.

 

Plays like he's Portuguese.

 

Maybe the transfer took so long as Jim Farry blocked it.

 

The quality and quickness of his passing was very good and clearly to see from the moment he came on. Obviously is still building up his match sharpness but I am very confident he will be a very good player for us going forward.

 

Time to step up and show us why your here. 2 massive games coming up for him. I think he’s shown in the short time he’s played he’s capable.
