After seeing idah come in; him and dara O’Shea seem quite close going by them both commenting a lot on each others posts…. Surely he’s been telling him how good it is up here. If he’s £7-9 million and Rodgers is actually interested. Get him in big Pete

I would say easier, the league route is usually harder because it has 3rd from France, Portugal, Holland and good teams often unseeded (I think both unseeded teams win this year). The champions route unseeded this year is Bodo, Qarabag, Galatasaray, Bratislava and Sparta Peague. It's not piece of * but I'd be confident we beat most of them.

Sorry mate but who gives a flying * about them. We do our job off the field with proper signings, continue where we have with this one (add another 3 first team players) and we've nothing to worry about.

They're an irrelevance, it's Europe we need to concentrate on to move forward, gain back some of our self respect and continue attracting good players to Celtic.

Sevco are Sevco, not old Rankers, before their incarceration of us they tried to go toe-to-toe, now their just trying to stay on the same chapter and at present are doing well to be on the same book.

HH and * them, twice on a Sunday :ynwacelti

Could the fact that we are at least being associated with a few midfielders of different types, could the long term plan for giving Cal Mac less game time (slowly) be also in BR mind?

The window in Scotland remains open until September 1 and Brendan Rodgers wants reinforcements at left-back, defence and in midfield. Another striker could also be brought in if conditions are correct

Gotta be said I've been as restless and frustrated as anyone this window but slowly we're hearing better noises as opposed to radio silence. Still too early to be patting anyone on the back but getting a midfielder of Engels price and potential calibre in, a left back and defender as mentioned above and another forward in would be a good window all round.

Mon Celtic, let's go all in!

2 weeks to go in the window, hopefully the market will pick up in general this week, and we can get some players in.

This window is significantly more important to us as a club and future planning.

Next year it’s the champions league qualifying rounds, we need to add that extra bit of quality that’s needed to get them settled playing a year and ready for what comes at us next year.

I know a lot can happen in a year but we need to plan now for it.

Expectations are sky high. People expect us to buy at least 3-4 new starting-calibre players. If the past is any indication, we'll settle for McCowan, Beck and a loan prospect. And you know what? We'll eventually convince ourselves that we like them. Look no further than the McCowan thread. People were laughing at the initial reports, only to change their mind now that the rumor is gaining traction. Same goes for Idah. People were sceptical of the initial 5m valuation. They are now happy we got him for 8.5m. Go figure.

What’s our obsession with waiting until the end to do business? Other clubs are already rushing about getting things done for pre season and start of season. We are always about 5 games in before we really start.

Peter wants to save money. Transfer negotiations are like the game of chicken. Whomever blinks first loses the game. We're hesitant to meet asking prices early in the window hoping we'll get our targets on the cheap closer to the deadline. More often than not, we miss out on our primary targets and we settle for loan prospects.

I'm a bit more confident now we will see movement

However my concern is we are waiting to see what happens with MOR. Surely not?

We need to be aggressive in our approach. That also includes bringing in a CB even though we have others here already. The fact we can't shift them needs to be put to one side - getting in quality is more important and cohkd help us win even 2-3 games in the UCL which would be £8-12m additional already!

Need to speculate here. The money is there without MOR leaving. If we end the window with him here but have still strengthened in all the other areas then it should be looked on as a massive success.
