    Don't need to wait until January for him. Think it's likely we try and loan him at the end of the summer. He's fit and training with Arsenal the now. Been left out of their pre-season squad, though.

    I don't want him because I think the fee/wages will be too much but if it's a half fit Tierney for 6 months of the year or Owen Beck, I'm inclined to go with Tierney, because of the quality he does have. Was never all that impressed with Beck.

    A week is a long time in football eh. Idah nearly finalised for good money, huns confirmed as even more skint, links to highly rated prospects appearing. O'Riley leaving will be a blow but inevitable and IF we reinvest his fee properly then we have a potentially great season coming up... my mood has certainly been lifted anyway

    Yeah I know the monitoring patter is getting rinsed but thats all we seem to be mentioned in at the moment. Usually our business gets leaked when a deal is basically sealed so don't hold much hope the players linked at the moment will be signed but we can hope.

    Any random out the blue ones of a similar calibre would just multiply the feel good factor and get everyone positive again.

    Aye that's a good point tbh, even Jensen was pushing it age wise but Sinisalo would fit that category.

    We know Schmeichel was Rodgers himself and happened quickly too.

    Would take Engels in a heartbeat.
    Engels, Tapia on a free contract, Schluup from Palace couple million to upgrade on LB short term and cover other positions, a loan to buy right winger and Solid CB and were cooking.
    Could spend around 18 million and still have change left over from the MOR and take us up a level.

    His first post said we are in for Engels and it is 100% true. Price negotiations are what’s holding it up. I would imagine if we get what we are looking for, for O’Riley then this would be able to be sorted.

    The McCowan chat is one that hasn’t gone away. They are looking for around £1m total Dundee so he would be a cheap squad filler for Home grown euro squad. That signing says more about the state of qualifying options for that criteria.
