LIVERPOOL are still open minded to selling Wataru Endo - and Celtic are now monitoring the player.

The Scottish champions are believed to be huge admirers of the midfielder who is thought to have slipped massively down the pecking order at Anfield.

Marseille have already had a bid rejected for the player this summer.

But they could go back in with a new offer before the window closes

They are likely to face competition from Brendan Rogers who thinks securing Endo could help boost his side both domestically and in Europe.

 

They bought him for 16 million last summer.

 

If there’s any truth in this it would have to be a loan deal I reckon. Would add some quality experience in the middle for the CL

Would be unreal, but for the finances involved, I’d rather get Tapia on a free, and go ‘marquee signing money’ on a LB or CB.

Might just mean we're ACTUALLY talking with Liverpool about a single player, and that's leaked but they're not sure who and are throwing * at the wall to see what sticks... Can't see it being a £15-20M player though, even on loan...

 

Wataru Endo is class, but he is actually playing for them. Not a fringe player. We do have our own Japanese DM who Rodgers doesn't seem to rate, sadly.

Only way I can see this one happening is if he's struggling to adjust to life over here, and Liverpool let him come here on loan so he can join a team with several Japanese players.

His transfer to Liverpool was a crown on his career, Stuttgart didnt even really haggle over the price. Tbf he isnt Liverpool quality, he was always a Klopp transfer. So now that he isnt there anymore.
