Reo Hatate

Hatate is your typical maverick type played for me, when he is on it is unplayable and can do almost anything but when it isn’t happening for them they can be really off it.

It wasn’t vintage from Hatate today but I did think for the first 35 minutes our positional play from everyone in the team was excellent. Our rotations between, midfielders, between wingers, full backs and midfielders and between Kyogo and O’Riley were excellent. The final pass or finish was missing at times or very occasionally tackles missed but our shape and options we were giving the man on the ball was the best I have seen for a while from Celtic. We had great width but had the game pressed in vertically. We could have scored 5 or 6 in that period.

 

Arguably our best player on his day, however doesnt happen anywhere near enough. He needs to add consistency to his game if he ever gets the move he thinks he is due.

 

Just seemed way too casual at times, not aware of his surroundings.

 

Ntcham would be the only one that screams out to me for that

 

Was never a fan of Ntcham, horrible attitude on him.

 

Is it possible do you think for a player to be consistently inconsistent? .......and if so, does that then make them consistent?

Big Samaras was the King of Inconsistency for me

Absolute tosh, he's brilliant and pish in equal measures, to even compare him to Matt is so far off the mark I'll now label you as Sebo.

 

Hatate started very late for a footballer as he was at college, which explains his inconsistency, consistently so!

 

i personally think it is a run of games he came on January and injury free and was unreal last season he was injured most of it I think this season with a run of games we will see the real quality he has

 

Lazio aside, I hated him to be honest

 

I hope so, but man alive he don't half pass the ball to the opposition a lot of the time lol

 

Well that settles that, you did read it and it wasn’t me. I was wondering about that during the Hibs game though lol.

 

Played really well, got quiet middle part of game, but start and end he was excellent.

Much better player than Oreilly..........

 

He is a tough * as well. Wont even go down when he gets assaulted

Still say when on top on top form, he's the best player in the country.

 

He looks to play early risky forward passes. They aren't always going to come off, but when they do, they can split teams wide open. A few more games and getting a goal will see him get his swagger back. When he does, he'll be brilliant.

 

For the third game in a row he has put in a brilliant ball off the left with his left foot. Hopefully one of those cracking balls is going to end up in a goal soon.

I thought he was good today without being overly flashy but very effective a trademark assist for the first goal.

 

That ball for O'Riley and his whole performance is what we want from him every game.
