AJ is not the weak link in our starting 11, nor is Ralston the worst second string player in our squad.

 

I think it's positive that we are looking to add some experience to the squad. We need that right mixture of that and youth which can get results in Europe.

 

I know I keep going on about it, but is he tall ?

 

5' 10" but I don't think Brendan would be bringing him in to play basketball

I don't get why in this window we seem so fixated recruiting from England, the most expensive, overpriced transfer fee/wages market in the world.
Is it just we don't have any kind of global or European network any longer?
It all seems a bit lazy to me.

 

Think it must be Brendan because that's where he's worked and knows the league but I agree big footballing world out there to get players from, I think we have poor scouting probably only a couple of part timers lol

 

This fixation on EPL rejects is worrying, what is our strategy here. We also seem to be targeting loans all the time.

Where is the scouting. Really dreading this window I think after Idah we are gonna have 2/3 EPL loans and that’s us. 6 months to plan and this is what they can come up with.

This season will tell but I like Alistair I think he’s very solid defensively even against European opposition. He definitely isn’t a priority position to be upgraded for Europe either. Left back, left centre back, 6, winger and another type of striker I reckon before I’d be worrying about upgrading on AJ. Hopefully that copa America form will carry over into this season

No cover at CB, LB or ST

We’re been taking for absolute mugs by the board.

This is one of the main concerns for me. 6 players out permanently(Hart, Seigrist, McCarthy, Lawal, Haksa and Oh) and you could easily pick another 6 or 7 that we need to get rid of this window. Kobayashi, Lagerbielke, Montgomery, Kwon, Shaw, Johnston, Yang… we really shouldn’t be struggling to move on any of them.

 

We just need some height in the team

I can’t believe we’re this far into the transfer window and still haven’t signed a single new outfield player.

If you’d have told me this at the beginning of June……I probably would have believed it as a Celtic fan of 35 years!
