This is good news. Get this concluded and move onto the next position/target.

 

People been cracking up about lack of action in the window and how tight we've been, then there's the possibility of us signing him and they start debating whether we should be paying the couple million more than they think he's worth. Hopefully we're coming up with whatever it costs to get Rodgers the player he wants.

 

Would normally be annoyed at shelling out £6m for him as think we could get better for that in Europe.

But at this stage of the game I don't care. Just get it done and get him in. Desperately need another option and if Rodgers believes that's Idah then it needs finalised ASAP.

Plenty more work to do in the window after this is completed.

 

If Rodgers wants him then get him in. Personally I think he’ll do well with us and has already proved himself. Will be a great addition and a totally different option to Kyogo.

 

I don't want to get caught up in money too much but he's never a player in that price bracket. That's not a kick in the balls of Edouard money and Eddie was twice the player Idah is then.

At this stage, I'd agree with that choice.

But I'd rather spend £8m on someone, simply, much better.

Value doesn't really matter too much when you have 75m or so in the bank and you're about you sign your first (and likely only) outfield player in the summer window. It's not like if we get him for 5m rather than 8m its going towards other players!

He was always going to cost us £6-8m so we should have offered it at the start instead of the £4.5m lawwell economy taking the * offer, then he could have had a pre season with us and be up and running, we’ve no idea as to his actual match fitness until he trains with us

Ajeti was a massive mistake.. my point was we really shouldn't be going off what we payed for players years ago, the market moves on. If the rumours are true and it's roughly 6 million I think that's a fair market price.

Said already he's far from the finished article but has shown promise already and Rodgers wants him.

He offers something completely different to what we have up top.
