Reo Hatate

I love him. Really don't want to lose him because I don'r think we'll find a player with his creativity and skills in time.

 

I don’t think we’ll allow him to go this window, with O’Riley looking a definite to go. We gave him a new contract last season, we can afford to not allow a move this summer - unless a ridiculous bid comes in.

Think we all know that last season won’t have bids for him that we know he could get, if he has this season fully uninjured and him being relied upon as the main creative and scoring threat from midfield with O’Riley going.

He’s more than capable of doing what O’Riley done last year, people forget that Hatate was the undroppable one next to Calmac, O’Riley benched and Mooy coming in the previous year. MOR stepped up.

This year is Hatate’s.

 

personally I think he is the best midfielder in the team including o'riley but that is just my opinion I think hatate the guy we seen in the first 6 months and in the first game of the season could play for any team anywhere including the top 4 in any of the top 4 leagues

 

I thought he had a better 2nd half tbh

Was off it today by a bit. But that's the only reason we still have him as he's prone to these games.

When he's on song though he's worth dealing with these games

 

Crucial player for us, but had a wee bit of a mare today tbh.
Hopefully puts any scouts in stand.iff trying to sign him.

 

Started well and once again fell off a cliff. Such a * waste of talent.

 

Can’t think of a player that’s been more inconsistent for us, can be world class and * in the space of 10 minutes.

 

Feels like he has struggled for fitness the whole time he has been here.

 

That's a bit of a cop out imo. It's true he's struggled for fitness at times, but that wasn't the issue today or on plenty other occasions. He's just wildly inconsistent.

 

When he's on it he's arguably the best player in the league, but still blows very hot and cold. If it wasn't for that lack of consistency he'd probably be subject to big bids the same as O'Riley by now, so could be a bit of a blessing in disguise keeping him here longer.

 

This is only the start of his 4th season as a pro footballer

 

He's played 4 and a half full seasons, so this is his 5th. Still not much for his age though

 

There was a moment maybe 15 minutes into the first half. He was between the centre of the pitch and the right wing, received the ball and dilly dallied for about 5 seconds in a busy area of the pitch. Got outmuscled and robbed by a Hibs player from behind him and they were on the counter attack.

Just thought, he's played in Scottish football for two and a half years now. How can he possibly think he has that much time on the ball? Him and a couple of others are guilty of it and it completely baffles me. It's proper basic stuff that a player with his talent shouldn't be regularly failing at.

He's as talented a midfielder as I've seen here, but he's wildly inconsistent.

 

I believe he is inconsistent because he is often blowing out his * during games and progressively gets worse during games IMO.

He often starts off sharp and whilst pinging great passes about, then later on in a game he’ll lose the ball constantly with half arsed passes.

I keep going back to the Feyenoord game as his performance was stinking and i can only put it down to him being knackered rather than anything else
