He’s a great player tbf. Watched him a lot with pats and the u19s as he played with my brother with the u19s. Mason got called up to the 19s when he was 14 as he was scoring hatricks every week for the u17s. Big lad, quick and hard worker off the ball. Would be keen on signing him and loaning him out. I did hear though that he’d agreed to sign for Burnley I think or maybe spurs when he turns 18. I know he went over n trained with spurs a few times

I normally dont get hyped on prospects but this one should be a goer.

Sounds like it'd be a real coup if we could get him. To be honest I'd be more in favour of bringing him straight into the first-team squad here as third striker. Too many prospects we sign and loan out and they rot (a few exceptions aside), if he's good enough to play here and there, give him a shot.

We can't keep our own youth players never mind other ones coming in.

The issue is and partly to do with money but the absolute Sunday league dross we they play week in and week out.

Playing the likes of Stirling Uni and Civil Service Strollers will add very little to the players development I would guess and hardly something we can sell to these types of players.

Unfortunately we can't do that due to politics.

Ach, * aye didn't think about that. Well if he has the chance to join either us or Spurs when he turns 18 let's hope he's a big tim...

He’d be a great signing for the future I think. Class for Ireland u17s playing for them since he’s 15 and Man City were mad to sign him they had him over in one of their feeder clubs training aswell once or twice I think trying to work there way around signing him before he’s 18 as uk clubs can’t. Was over with spurs a few times over the last couple years but last I heard (last month) was that he had plans in place with someone I think it was burnley though but don’t know how reliable that is. I wouldn’t be against having him as a 3rd choice striker if we were to get him but I wonder how much game time a 3rd choice would get for us when we only play with one striker, he’s played off the right a few times with pats aswell but he’s much better up top I think

He looks a hard worker off the ball too from those clips.

Can imagine Rodgers would want to work with someone like him.

The amount of negativity on this forum is becoming draining and this thread is a perfect example.

What is negative about trying to sign the best prospects we can? You’re allowed to be happy that’s happening on one hand but be frustrated at the lack of urgency in first team signings on the other - in the correct place. Most important point.

We should be always on the look out for really good young talent.

To be fair we have lost some in recent years so replacing them is vital.

Would be keeping a very close eye on this boy, he looks incredible for his age.

Had hoped he'd be the third project striker we bring in

He looks like a real prospect, and it would’ve been ideal to get him locked down, but don’t we have to wait until he’s 18 before he’s allowed to be brought over here?

Assuming we were/are genuinely interested, I do wonder if that ‘issue’ as well as the deal presumably taking up one our limited loan slots, made us hang fire?

Regardless, I’m hoping he’s one we revisit in the future.

Yeah we’ve to wait that’s why he hasn’t gone to someone in England already so hopefully we keep tabs and even get him over for a week or so to train with us when pats season is over. Couple of other teams have done this with him already

We should be looking at that other young lad in that league, scored twice as many goals as him and an assist too. Johnny Kenny I think his name is

Better jump down the courthouse and get that first name legally changed first...
