Baffling tbh. All three of those midfielders have completely different profiles.

Gazdag is a goalscoring midfielder. Charles is a number 6. Tessman is a bit more of an all rounder.

And in the case of Gazdag, there's not a chance we're spending anything close to £10m for a 28 year old.

Would be delighted with Gazdag tbh. Too good to be true imo.

We need another midfielder regardless of MOR staying and Bernardo coming in.

Those behind them aren't of the level required to regularly step in for me.

We won't do it. But it's needed. Far too reliant on MOR to pull us out the * last year.

Too many fringe/youth/project players and not enough quality in depth.

Need more quality, then supplement with one or two of the aforementioned group.

Kwon, Kelly, McCarthy, Holm, Shaw - get rid of 3 of them and keep Kelly and Holm. Bring in ONE quality that is on a par with McGregor/Hatate/O'Rielly.
More quality to take us up a level, less dross to work through.
More game time for a Kelly or a Holm.
I'd not even be against getting rid of Iwata as well in favour of these two getting more game time - but that sounds more harsh on Iwata who has stepped in when needed.

Out of the 3 of them, I think I'd rather have Tessman. He's far more of an all rounder. I think there are other players out there we should be looking at though, especially if we are willing to spend around £10m on a player.

I've not seen anything from Holm to say he should get game time ahead of Iwata. He needs loaned out to get some experience of our league.

If I was to choose I thjnk it'd be him too. Especially for £6m.

Would still take Charles as a CDM option though. If we got say £20m for MOR and a reduced fee as a result foe him I'd take that.

Charles, Bernardo, Tesseman, Hatate, McGregor would be a great first 5.

I think that Charles looks brilliant as a DM and I think he would be worth his weight in gold if we managed to get him in with an option to buy for a reduced fee but only if Southampton manage to cough up a decent price for O'Riley, which looks miles away.

Depends on the fee as well. If they value him at £12m and they reduce the fee to say £8m, what sort of affect would that have on the O'Riley fee. Still think we should be asking for £20m plus.

Blue tarts have signed nine players...may be crap but who knows, Wolfsburg bloke may be ok... meanwhile us and our £120m in the bank are doing great stuff I see. A 37 year old keeper, a 22 year old keeper and probably Bernando. Gonna be another tight duopoly season I think.

As I said before I think us telling the world how big our bank balance is goes against us. Idah for example if we offered 4.5m, norwich think he's worth more or believe they can get more knowing we have the money. If we had less they would probably know it's the best they are going to get.

Anyone making excuses for the board or "any day now, there's still 4 weeks left" needs to give their head a wobble.

Starting our first league game on Sunday weaker than we finished last season. Absolute negligence.
