It’s an absolute steal for the price we are getting him, we know that and so do Benfica, hence the sell on clause.

He showed far more than enough, people really didn’t realise his defensive work rate and pressing. His numbers were up there with Maeda.

Transfers don’t work like that. Just because they were on loan here doesn’t mean we can just tie them up when he want.

Managers are almost always going to want to review a player in the summer, maybe see how much they can get from elsewhere. People seem to think it’s like FIFA, click a button and the deal is done.

We should have more players in but I’m only talking about these two deals. Two which have proven difficult because Norwich (out of our hands) and if we get Bernardo for this price it was worth the haggling, but they obviously wanted more out of it.
