Regardless, manager clearly sees a player in him and will be delighted to FINALLY get this one over the line!

Nobody at all is worried about whether this deal will get done. The same with Idah which is looking more and more likely.

The main concern is how Celtic are fleshing this out. Bernardo could've been in the door weeks ago. Same with Idah. Yet you can't help but feel as if we're getting these deals done weeks apart from each other in order to spend as little as possible in the rest of the window. After all - difficult to criticise that the board haven't been working to bring players in if someone's in the door every couple of weeks....

Once Bernardo signs and Idah likely joins him in a couple of weeks, there'll be barely any of the window left. A couple of weeks max. At which point we would still need a LB, CB, ST, and in my view another winger too. Not to mention another midfielder should O'Riley go.

We won't bring all of that in. At best we'll bring in two of those (no doubt loan deals as well), which wouldn't be an acceptable window by any stretch.

That's the concern here. The length of time between each deal that we do.

The point is that was a point where the club seemed to actually look to strengthen the playing squad instead of sitting on its *.

You can say there's no proof. The lack of bodies in the door is proof enough with our first game of the season on Sunday.

There's a reason most Celtic fans can't stand him. And this transfer window is just further evidence of his negative influence at the club.

Our squad is literally as it stands, weaker than last season. If we sign the two loan players, it's standing still. That is my main concern as a Celtic supporter. Lawwell literally ran Rodgers out last time with our lack of ambition. Christ, no even ambition, but sheer penny-pinching.

It's funny to me that his defenders, or those who seem unwilling to put him in such a negative bracket, don't really have much evidence as to our progression as a club under him over the last 20 or so years. It's just having a dig at others.
