"By the end of August" seems to be the key phrase. He's used it several times recently. Suggests to me that, Bernardo aside, there's nothing on the horizon. Scandalous really, especially when you consider we need to secure the Bernardo and Idah deals just to get back near to where we were at the end of last season. There's a lot of talk of how BR is waiting to see what players are deemed surplus to requirements in the EPL with a view to bringing them in near the transfer deadline. I hope this isn't the case as it's short-sighted and extremely risky. I hope I'm proved wrong but this transfer window is shaping-up to be worse than last year.

Are you really surprised some fans worry? We've seen this show before remember. Obvious deficiencies in the team not being remedied. Inability to get deals over the line. Squad left being 1 or 2 key player injuries away from disaster. Dragging our heels generally regarding transfers. Panic is too strong a word at this moment but any Celtic fan who is concerned is perfectly entitled to be I would say.

It's remarkable that the board are almost gaslighting us into thinking that Bernardo and Idah are all we need. I fully expect disco lights and a 30 minute video if they ever sign. The truth is we need much more. A left back, a centre back and at least another striker. Unless we are happy with failing in Europe year on year.

Neither Bernardo or Idah were able to cement a start last season. If anyone is happy with this as the limit of our business then I despair. We have replaced Hart with a like for like, sold Oh and are probably going to offload O'Riley or Hatate. No fan can seriously be happy with this? Really??

You've answered it. I'm not surprised folk worry or have concerns, like everyone I'm always keeping tabs on what we're doing, but when folk say stuff like it's time to panic or panic is starting I can't take it too seriously personally.

They may no be able to cement one again this season.....so? Idah didn't need too many sessions under Rodgers to bang in goals did he?

We've upgraded on Hart for me..

Who's happy? I'm just no going apeshit with the window still open for a month..

On the 11th of March Rodgers said the James Forrest was the best winger at the club.

That to me was as much a complaint to James as it was an admission that we are lacking quality/depth. To be a few days away from the opener with this still the case is a really poor show.

I’m still of the belief that we will fill the holes and come out in September with a few new faces. We might lose 1 or 2 we don’t want to but that’s the nature of the model we use.

the issue we have is the transfer window timeline either we should start our season at same time as other leagues and have the window close before we play the first game. But they try to cram in so much games there is barely a gap now between finish and restart.

Yes there’s still time blah blah, but seriously there isn’t one suitable outfield player from the end of last season to the first game of this that we could agree a deal for? Especially given January’s apology. Sorry but that’s derisory.

Deal execution at Celtic over the last 6 or 7 windows has been very very poor.

A very derisory approach which might get you sacked in any other deal-orientated job in the world. The excuses are also really poor.

As I’ve said before, the people who lead the club are very average at best. They don’t possess the skills or qualities to be able to originate, execute or think laterally.

They are average (not incompetent like our friends across the city) so we probably won’t sink with these guys at the helm. However we will never reach anywhere near our potential.

The club is crying out for some talent and ambition at leadership level.

You just know we'll be scrambling about last minute trying to get a few loans in to cover crucial positions.

Not panicked just yet and Looking at Rodgers interview he seems calm so panic level is about 5/10..

Faith in this board is 1/10, but ya never know they might surprise us..

Given up being surprised at how * we are in the transfer market so 4 more weeks of this tedious * and a squad not fit for Europe to go

I'm the same really. Rodgers seems calm and confident but I really cannot trust our board one bit.

No point getting excited. Our board see the chaos the huns are in and wont spend a penny for our european venture. Same old same old. Unless our fans grow a set it will continue thus HH

Huns are at least signing players, we've went from signing like 15 projects to signing 2 goalies ...no middle ground

I’m deeply unimpressed with our complete inertia in the transfer window…. but it’s no surprise… it’s situation normal.. we knew it and expected it….

… but using Sevco as a benchmark or model for player trading is an extreme too far.

    Exactly.

If the manager is coming across as calm, then so should every other *.

Disappointing but unsurprising, Europe will be a right laugh again this year.
