    It's very simple really, what we value Charles at + what Southampton pay is for oriley should add up to £30mill. .. they will try value him at 10, we will value him at 6 so let's meet in the middle.. £22mill + charles = oriley

    When has that sort of deal ever happened in world football? Genuinely can't think of another instance where a club has paid a certain figure for a player they want, loaned another player to the selling club and then give them the player for free a year later or give them another bucket load of cash.

    Never happening in a million years.

    Once upon a time there had never been a sale of a player with another going the other way to make up for the value of the player. Need to have an open mind when you are deal making and in this deal we have the power.

    Can’t see Southampton offering a LTB. If he has a good season they will up the price for him and we will miss out and spend next summer chasing him just like the Idah fiasco this summer.
