I'm a bit concerned but people seem to be losing their * over a twitter account called Tam Selleck posting about a text he received.

We need to get the finger oot. My biggest concern now is losing MOR and Hatate.

The money we get from TV deal would be matched with a couple of positive results in europe.

CL money is worth several times more than any of our domestic revenues and tv money from playing the huns on sky, the idea that our board secretly want the huns to win because it makes us money is beyond stupid.

See for me the last sentence sums us up though, why would anyone be surprised that we would lose those two players in one window?

We advertise and herald a player trading model, come to Celtic as a talented player showcase your skills in a dominant side and get European football exposure, then move on. O’Riley put up numbers that showed he was head and shoulders above the competition in our league, and showed he could mix it at CL level. Yeah we haven’t had a bid that meets our valuation but like Tierney it will likely come at some point. In addition, I know he isn’t rocking the boat just now but having stuck with us in January when he could have been of to Atletico, I doubt he will be happy to do so again just now.

For Hatate if Leicester put a decent bid in he will be desperate to go. Also if we are running a player trading model we should be looking to sell him, he’s coming up on 27 and has been injured for a large part of the last 15 months.

The problem we have is we tend to get the scattergun out when it comes to replacements.

I would also be surprised if no one tried to take Alastair Johnston before the transfer window closes.

Back on O’Riley and Hatate even taking modest figures for the pair of them you’re looking at turning a less than £3m investment into £35m, if you are a club running a player trading model that should be the sort of thing that takes you to the next level.

If we do sell one or both of the above and replace them with a loan to buy, we would want to do the buying before the end of our financial year. This year we will have bumper revenues with being in the new CL. If we win the league it is not guaranteed we get that next year as we will have one qualifier to play.

At the end of this we may get the perfect gift, but it’s like doing your Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve , too stressful for me.

If only the club cared half as much as the fans then we would not be half as frustrated.

If the board have no ambitions or interest to do something in Europe then the fans should show no interest in purchasing tickets. They just might get the message.

I'm still not panicking yet. I'm really disappointed that the deal for Bernardo hasn't been completed by now. I'm even more frustrated that we haven't made any progress with Norwich for Idah.

However, I still believe that we bring in Bernardo, Idah/New Striker, LB, CB, O'Riley replacement and a winger.

That's 6 players there, Bernardo is as near to being done as we can possibly imagine. We are definitely waiting for the quality we all want and it's a slug but we just need to be patient and believe that Rodgers will get what he wants.

Weirdly, despite being very critical in the past, this is where I am too. Not panicking, and still quite confident we'll get what we need.

Can we please move on from idah.. his value at Norwich is ridiculously inflated. Tell them we have 4mill on table and thanks. You can guarantee they will be back to accept it by the end of the window. In the mean time we need a third choice young striker anyway.

They're not selling him for £4m when it's been rejected.

No and it's beyond ridiculous to suggest that we are.

    Is it though?

If someone had said to you when the window opened that with just a few days till start of the season we had only signed 2 GK's you would have said that wa silly as well.

For the record I do think we will get more in but we are taking far too long.

Still think we’ll get 1 or 2 in this week. Even our board know they’ll be really chancing their arm not signing any outfield players before the first game of the season

    That's a different question.

There's about 4 weeks difference between the start of the season and the end of the transfer window. I've said that I'm disappointed that we haven't at least signed Bernardo and made gains in the Idah transfer. However, i still remain confident that we will sign quality players before the end of the window.

The reality is, when waiting for a player we want, it's a domino effect and we need to wait for that to start before we make the signings we want. McGowan has all but confirmed our interest in players who are of much greater quality than we typically lool at with players like Balikwisha, Tessman, Bueno and O'Shea.
