That's fine, but the issues up top and at centre back can't be fixed from within this squad. Kyogo was the only striker in the pre-season squad and our other options at CB have been here for at least a year already and couldn't get a game ahead of Scales.

In midfield, I have hope for Holm but he doesn't fix the glaring issue of power and pace in midfield. Lawal could be that guy, but he's not had a good pre-season and Rodgers' comments about him don't sound the greatest.

5 players really shouldn't be out of reach. Particularly if one could be a loanee.

I actually think it will TBH. We've got Schmeichel and (pinch yourself) a succession plan in place. Bernardo will be any day and at some point, we'll just have to suck it up and pay Norwich what they are asking for Idah. That just leaves LB and LCB as desperate and I think that's totally doable.

The problem comes when O'Riley goes; but that would be a problem even if we were a well-run club TBH. I don't think it's possible to replace him on our budget. Ideally, we get in someone with the potential to replace him in 18 months to 2 years.

I don't think you'll hear any sane Celtic supporter who thinks we don't need a CB and a CF.

Players will get unsettled if you keep them when clubs in bigger leagues want them.

With a normal structure I wouldnt have a big problem selling both Hatate and MoR. There would be quality lined up. But the way our transfer business is going, that causes me serious heartburn! The more money we have in the bank the more we seem to regress. Each window we lose quality rather then strengthen. Baffling… its clear that each window we come out weaker as before.

If we lose both Reo and MoR, that's a feckin disaster as we all know they won't be adequately replaced.
Should be crazy cash or stay - £30M+ MoR and £25M+ for Reo

I've said it before but the board is being negligent with out club. We should always be looking to build and improve the team on the park. When times are lean we expect caution and reserve, however, we have had the sun shining for a long time now, money coming out the wazoo and little challenge domestically. Our next step is Europe and the board are sticking pencils in their ears and their paints on their heads. All talk of gems and projects is fine but we need quality for Europe. The money is there but the desire for some absurd reason isn't. We have failed in Europe year on year but we know that a couple of genuine quality players could have made the difference between getting out of group stages or even managing to drop into Europa League. Again we will be asked to spend big on buying tickets for 4 champions league matches to watch a side they have hamstrung due to an unwillingness to show a scintilla of ambition.

Aye, it would be a disaster.. Reo is probably a £15m+ player, though..

I’m sure we’ll have replacements already lined up in the event of losing MOR and/or Hatate.

Would love to see the entire support refuse the UCL tickets if they don't improve the squad beyond the obvious that may come in (Bernardo, idah and a left back).

They've no desire to push us forward.
We shouldn't fund them for Europe then, if they don't want to take it seriously.

In an ideal world we’d be signing vini junior and mbappe, but we all know our level of signings the club makes. There’s countless players I could name that realistically we could go and sign.

but maeda was brilliant last year, and between Forrest/palma/kuhn and occasionally Yang domestically is covered. Do we then pay £10 million for 8 champions league games? I’d love us to, but we won’t. I’m just saying where I’d rather us go out and spend money where it’s immediately needed

It's not just for Champions League games. It's to improve the team. Our wingers, in general, were so poor last season that we had to rely on a previously out of the picture James Forrest to come in and do the business.

Between Maeda, Kuhn, Forrest, Palma and Yang - they scored 22 league goals. Matt O'Riley scored 18 on his own. Jota and Abada were scoring 21 goals between the two of them the previous season.

    A winger is absolutely essential.

    Rinse and Repeat...

Same happened in 2004,2012......Had chances over the years to properly pull away from anyone in this league and build on a squad annually.....we just don't do it.

The board will kill this fan base if they continue to do this....I honestly think this is the year that the fans have had enough.

There is no reason with the amount of money we have to stay in site with Sevco. The TV deal is *,winning the league money is *.....We all know its all about that cash influx to get the the CL.

We are sick of being cannon fodder,we are sick of watching our board just play with our managers and squad every * season and gamble.

We should be building and adding to a squad every season.

We knew exactly what this squad has needed since January and we still * about....Now there is a chance we could loose both Midfielders and make around 45 Million, then going into a league and CL with 2 projects.

    Sick of it.
