That's the bigger issue for me, if they stay it doesn't just hamper us now but every window to come.
I think it's only Jamesy and McCarthy to have their contract ends next summer too. So not freeing up much space next year.

It would be nice if we did show a bit of ambition and go for a player who has the quality to come in and improve the squad instantly. Appreciate thats a tough thing for us to do, but we have never been in a better position to do it.

Kuhns best season was 3 goals and 6 assists. Not writing him off but when we have been underwhelmed with what he has produced so far, its hardly surprising.

We need players with a good recent track record

 

Are we really saying we are going into next season with Scales as one of our preferred CB pairing????!!!! What the * is going on?

 

Think we should go back in with one more bid for Idah and if knocked back then time to move on to Miovski or another target, can't have Kyogo being the only striker in 1st team squad and then subbing on Mikey Johnston for him once he's gubbed.

 

Hope the board have learned not to get a player in loan with no option to buy.

The Idah situation has turned into a mess.

 

You would think we'd want to use these pre-season friendlies to bed in new players and integrate them into the team ahead of the season starting. The fact that not a single outfield player has been signed and we have one recognised striker and one left back in the squad ahead of the league starting in 8 days is an absolute disgrace. I can understand having to wait till nearer the end of the window for a specific player or two but you can't tell me that EVERY player we want is only going to be available late in the window. An absolute shambles of a situation, same old * year after year.

 

Gotta wait to see if we qaulify for the champions league first... oh..

1 week till the starts and on paper we are noticeably weaker than when we finished.

How anyone can try and justify as this being ok is beyond me.

Yes the window is still open but our positions of great need have been known for a long while now. Getting players in and involved in pre season is invaluable.

Will we sign players next month? Probably yes but we have taken far too long and * forbid we get some early injuries.

 

Hopefully a bit of action in the next week. Bernardo and this boy from Wolves would be a timely lift for everyone

 

You'd have thought we would all be used to this by now however, there's always that wee hope that our board will take our club to the next step and spend some of our hard earned cash

 

Think most of us are used to it mate. Doesn’t mean we don’t still get * off with it.
Not having a LB in the door is the single biggest thing that irks me.

 

It's not ideal, but what do we do?

The manager has come out and says he expects deals to be done by August.

He has earned the right for us to trust him, especially whilst the transfer window is still active.

As for the squad for the opening game, we should be more than strong enough, even with the squad as it is just now.

 

Don't think it's the manager we doubt it's our tight * board. We've only strengthened the GK position and they knew that would need sorted since February. Our business so far has been laughable

 

"laughable" is fairly exaggerated.

It would be "laughable" if we'd sold off the best players in our squad and not replaced them.

We've replaced Joe Hart and Siegrist with arguably better players.

This, whilst we're still working on new signings.
