Sky saying that Southampton and other epl clubs see matt coming from a weak league as why we won't get 30 million ..fact is if he was playing in Holland belguim ,Portugal he would be going for about 70 80 million .we really need to get the * out this shambles of a league .get some decent money for our players even hold onto them if we were in a decent league .

For me the EPL is pretty much two divisions in one in terms of quality and spending etc.. its two tiered as in ya have your, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, United, Chelsea, Newcastle(oil money now) Villa( well backed now) etc..

2nd tier are your Southamptons, Leicester, Brentford, Bournemouth, Ipswich, wolves, forest, palace etc who are happy just to be there and stay up..

The second tier is generally where our players end up with the odd exception like Tierney and he didn't last long.. Wanyama and Van Dijk have gone to the second tier and made the jump up...

If MOR goes it will more than likely be 2nd tier, I suppose Southampton is a good a club as any and we still should be getting 25m at least

I just see all this as basically propaganda. Folk feeding things to sky to try and create a narrative and maybe unsettle the player. Think the club will be smarter than to cave to that sort of manufactured pressure.

We've set a price, bottom line. Any club seriously intent in doing business will be quietly letting all this play out and not getting involved in leaking or gossip.

Starting to feel like we've had a discussion with him and he's happy for anything under a set value is happily rejected in favour of him remaining for one more season.

The speed at which we just reject offers and we aren't hearing any issues etc, seems we have a clear value and he must understand this.

Judging by his preseason performances so far it doesn't seem to have affected him one bit.. crack on Matty

Southampton just spent 17 million on midfielder Flynn Downes(no idea). He's scored 6 goals since 2017.

In fairness he is listed as a defensive midfielder..

The tug-of-war between Atalanta and Celtic for Matt O'Riley continues : the Scots have also rejected the third offer of 17 million euros from the Bergamo club

Atalanta and Celtic have not yet reached a financial agreement for Matt O'Riley: the Scots have also rejected a third offer for the midfielder

The Nerazzurri had proposed 17 million euros for the 2000-born player, but Celtic do not consider the offer sufficient enough to let the talented player leave.

A super 2023-24 season for the Dane owned by the Scots: 37 appearances in the league, seasoned with 18 goals and 13 assists

Even if he kicked up a fuss about not getting a move the club should stand strong here - if kilman (who?) is £40m there’s no way MOR shouldnt be breaking the Scottish record. Would send a terrible message out if we agreed to sell on the cheap

At this point just tell them to not come back unless it's a serious offer. The Italian equivalent of Peter Lawwell behind those bids
