I think all of us would bite your hand off for any left back who is better than Taylor. This guy looks a big upgrade so we’d 100% take him.

But @Peej is right. It really doesn’t say a whole lot about our recruitment if the best option we have found after at least two years of needing a left back, is a loanee who we almost certainly won’t be able to afford permanently.

And I really don’t think that’s even up for debate.

Does it mean we’re not wanting Bueno? Obviously we want him. But we should have identified half a dozen left backs who are an upgrade on Taylor and who we can sign on a permanent deal. It’s not that difficult a task.

Do you not get tired of getting fisted by Lawell?

And I'm not being an *, it's a genuine question. I'm SOOOO * tired of being angry and moaning at the state of our operations.

But do you seriously never get * off with putting money into YOUR club, investing your time and finances, making personal sacrifices to support them, and then getting shafted every window whilst they sit on millions of pounds of OUR cash, pat themselves on the back and rinse the club come bonus time?

I hate being a moan, but I won't stop until every Celtic supporter is so angry that Desmond and his puppets are chased out of OUR club.

Mate, we don't even know if we're actually getting this guy and folk are in uproar!

Of course a one-year's loan isn't IDEAL in terms of longevity, but is he a player who (at least on paper) comes in and adds quality to the squad? Yes.

    Isn't the more important issue?

Again, it's not thr best scenario, but that doesn't mean it's a negative.

I get that, I really do.

But as you say, we might not be able to afford permanently. Surely the positive side of that is at least we're getting a player for a seasom who we otherwise would never have had as a result of financial implications, at least originally?

    Lawwell isn't even charge :56::56::56:

Btw, you actually sound like a hun (not implying you are one btw) but this is the kind of doomsday loser rhetoric you're hearing from the other side.

Yeah if he comes in and does well, helps us win a league and perhaps helps us do well in Europe, or course I'll take it.

But the issue is about how we've got to this stage, that this may be the best/only option we can come up with. Which in turn just begs more questions about what's going on at the club and at recruitment level, after 2 years, best we can do is a loan that we won't be able to make permanent, meaning sane issues next summer

Mate this sums up almost exactly how I feel. I'm * sick moaning about us but we are being rinsed by the board and some fans seem to enjoy it. In no other walk of life would people put up with it.

I know Tim Time played a bit of literary tennis with you last week or whatever, but again you say this is the best we can get (in a negative connotation) after spending x amount of time looking, so who's better out there?

It's the same as the keeper scenario - surely the amount of time we spent requiring a goalie adter Hart announced his exit, you telling me Schmeichel was "the best" we could get via scouting? Probably not, but between he and Simisalo, it's a great piece of business.

Seriously I'm sick of my moaning but we are being shafted and the fact I pay for my season ticket, European packages & at least 1 top a season makes it worse as its my money those greedy * are sitting on and refusing to spend. I've said before if we were skint you wouldn't hear a peep from me.

I follow the NFL probably as much as football now actually and have done for nearly 20 years and ive never once moaned about signings etc with them. You know why? They have a budget and spend it and yes sometimes it doesn't work but they don't sit on a pile of cash * themselves they might lose money here and there.

Celtic board are greedy shitebags. I'm not asking to bankrupt us far from it. before anyone starts.

Generally remained calm so far. Believe Rodgers will get what he wants, or a happy medium if we can't get his top targets.

I'm with the doomsayers on this one, though. Not for a loan. If we are never going to realistically afford a player, we should not be considering it. A buy option has to be included, even if it's something ridiculous that we can't afford like £15m, just get an option in there.

I'm all for loans with option. In fact, I think loans with option are excellent ways for us to conduct our business. It worked a treat with Jota and CCV, because you try before you buy but the best example is with Bernardo. He never quite made the biggest of marks on last season, we can still see potential so we negotiate the figure. Had he come in and killed it, we would have paid the £6m. Just means we can operate slightly better than we do with most other permanent transfers.

So you'd be happier if it was an option to buy, even if the price to buy was unaffordable?

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

He's a cancerous toad on the football club.

He took a break from us and coincidentally during that time it was the most efficiently we have handle our transfer business since I can remember. Nothing to do with him though eh?

Is Peter Lawwell in charge of the recruitment and has complete oversay on what gets spent/not spent.

    Yes or no...
