Better than the usual * essays by folk trying to come across as intellectuals but actually coming across as 3rd rate Jim Trainor's.

Same auld * all day every day, may aswell get some slagging matches involved, mix it up a bit.

Agreed and then folk double down on their position.

I get annoyed at the same posters saying the same thing over and over again, on every single thread. We can get linked to a player and they're already bringing down the * atmosphere by making wee sly digs about 'monitoring the situation'..' becomes tiresome. Then you have others in here who just argue to wind the other * up.

Most of us are probably middle grounders, where we can be flexible on where we currently see the transfer situation. I've defended the board far more on here this season than I did last season and I think it's because I get * off with so many on here and their consistency of dragging the rest of us down to their negativity.

Is there a reason to be * off? Yeah, I think we can and should have done more but some on here just throw the towel in and start the same pish on every thread.

Except that isn't mixing it up as its 90% of the posts are wee pointless cat fights between the same 5 or 6 posters and its boring as *.

You have to pick a side. It’s in the rules. So you clapping or mongering? Own up!

I think it's useful to separate out what we know from what is just interpretation or subjective impression.

What we know or can all agree on:
    • In the last 3 windows, we haven't signed the same quality as we have sold.
    • In terms of players, our first team is weaker than it was 3 windows ago.
    • We also have too many players in our squad.
    • We have signed at least 1 player (Lagerbielke) who our manager hasn't wanted.
    • Mark Lawwell and Joe Dudgeon lost their jobs shortly after the last window.
    • The one time we know for sure that we gave Rodgers what he asked for (Adam Idah, albeit on loan), it was a big success.
    • Last season's Celtic side was not a good one by post-Fergus McCann standards.
    • The board publically acknowledged to shareholders their awareness that having so much cash in the bank uninvested was not ideal (it amazes me that more hasn't been made of this).
    • Other than the departures of Mark Lawwell and Joe Dudgeon, no major changes to our recruitment structure have been made public.
    • There is still plenty of time to make the signings we need.
Interpretation or subjective opinion open to dispute:
    • The last 3 windows were disastrous.
    • Mark Lawwell and Joe Dudgeon lost their jobs because of the previous 2 windows.
    • Idah and Schmeichel are the only times so far that Rodgers has got what he asked for.
    • Peter Lawwell is the reason we aren't making signings.
    • We are hoarding cash.
    • We need to overhaul our recruitment structure and employ a DoF.
    • This season's team is going to be as weak as last season's (or actually even weaker when O'Riley goes) if we don't make quality signings for certain key positions.
    • Rodgers sent a message to the board in his recent press conference.
    • Deals like Bernardo's (where the other club wants to sell and the player wants to come) should not take so long.
    • It's too difficult to get quality young players to come to Scotland.
I have put the 3 interpretations that I personally disagree with in italics.

I think that just the things we know in that first list are already cause for concern even if you accept none of the more subjective things on that second list. If you're not at least a bit worried, I don't know what to say.

Think eveyone is just frustrated with the situation which doesn't bring the best out in anyone.

Too many (including myself) are too easily led into the bickering. I do believe everyone has the same common goal though.

Those two would be good signings.

Alongside Kasper, young Finnish GK, Bernardo and Idah.

Would just be looking for a LB and third choice ST on top of the above.

And of course a MoR replacement if/when he’s sold.

O'Shea and Balikwisha would be great. Have to imagine it'd cost us the bast part of £20m for the two of them.
