Think oluwayemi went and was injured fairly early doors. If we sent one player a year that came back ready for either the first team or another loan to a spl team we would be doing ok

Admira Wacker are hoping to add more Celtic players on loan for the season ahead.

The Austrian side have a link-up with the Hoops which was forged last year and as part of that, promising youngsters can be sent over there to learn their trade to the benefit of both clubs. First up last season were young goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi and left-back Matthew Anderson


While Oluwayemi wasn't able to have the impact he would have liked due to injury, Anderson thrived in the Austrian second tier and won his way into the team of the season for the league. He then showed up well in Celtic's pre-season friendly against DC United, winning praise from manager Brendan Rodgers


Admira are now looking to recruit for next season and have revealed they hope to bring in more loans from Parkhead. They're specifically looking for a left-back after Anderson's departure left a whole. Possible candidates for that could be Mitchel Frame or Adam Montgomery


The Austrian side's sports director Peter Stoger said: "We are in constant communication with Celtic and I do believe that something will happen soon. We are very hopeful to get players from them again. Matthew Anderson, in particular, did well last season and he has left a hole in the left hand side of the team that we need to fill again.

 

Would be ideal to get frame a season of first team football. Perhaps Murray and and another one of the more attacking players

Don't think you can send the same player on loan while on loan already

 

We get loads of EPL teams out here doing pre season. In fact Celtic have been here many times themselves. Surely it wouldnt be beyond the reals of possibility to send a team out here at least for a pre season fixture. A mixture of first team/Youth Academy players who theyre looking to take on a season loan at least.

 

That Josh Clarke is twice the player of anyone else on that list...

Is there not a limit on number of players you can loan in total and to one club? We should definitely be sending a couple there though.

 

Would be good move for Mackenzie carse aswell i reckon. Is he still on our books? Surprised not to see him in pre season as he’s highly rated

He's done the ACL in his other knee and out for the season unfortunately for the lad.

 

No offence to the boy but we shouldn't even be considering anymore loans for Montgomery..

Feel like he's gonna be a Regan Hendry. Always looks good for the B team but never really seen around the first team much before eventually moving to a smaller club and having a decent career.
