It's all getting a bit Ground Hoggy Day type vibes again

I 100% stand by, he left because lawwell was back and he sussed the * out quickly.

If there is anything in the Leece wanting Lagerbielke then I would expect movement on that shortly as they just sold one of their starting centre backs to Fiorentina for €15m.

You think he turns down triple the salary, working with world class players, with a huge transfer budget to improve at a massive club down south, in London of all places if Lawwell doesn't come back?:56:

Did that feeling ever really leave? With only two keepers signed at this stage in the window, its severely disappointing given our financial position.

It now seems fairly probable that we will end the window a weaker squad than last season.

Given the failures that were the last two windows, the fans are getting ripped off.

Its the Desmond/Lawell way though. Failing to capitalise from a position of strength.

12 days until the season starts and not one outfield signing

When put as simply and laid bare as this. That is appalling. We've taken a step back. Big time.

Aye, in their own minds (and that of the shareholders) but, as for us fans, we can just suck it up as usual

Our problem is that we love following our club. Over the past few years there's been numerous times where I have said * this, I'm not renewing my ST due to those Tory feckers but the lure of the club is just too much. I would love to see some sort of fans movement come together to challenge the feckers in the same way we did years ago to rid ourselves of the Kelly dynasty

Not going by a lot of the posts on here :56:, I see more negative comments from some rather than any evidence of support tbh. Can't imagine what it would be like if forums were about during say late 80s to late 90s.

I'd love if we went out and signed 10/15m plus players every summer but I understand why we don't in the league we play in. Everyone's entitled to their opinions and to post what they want obv but it's brutal at times. Can't wait til the season starts again man. Think I'll log out til then lol

Lawell and co are too busy "balancing the books" to invest in the first team.

I don't see any new signings of importance being made whilst they're busy negotiating exits for MoR and half the * they signed in the last three windows.

They don't see a threat in Sevco this year, so investment isn't needed. Merely top up the piggy bank, bring in a few replacements at low cost, and brag about the bank balance come AGM time. They believe Rodgers has more than enough to get the league over the line, that's their modus operandi, and only in terms of avoiding fan flak were the unthinkable to happen, a la 10iar.

The bare * minimum, as always.

I personally am not buying a single shirt. Every father's day I go to the Celtic shop in Belfast, and splurge for 2 new shirts and a couple of polos for the oul one. They haven't, and won't get a * penny from me this year. My oul one even cancelled his Celtic TV sub.

They can * off and die as far as I'm concerned. Absolute rancid pack of con artists.

Absolutely don't blame anyone for being negative and overreacting a tad..

For me if we get real quality in, it will be despite our structure .

However, the calibre of player we've been linked with is encouraging and if it means we need to wait a bit longer to get them in then so be it.. rather that than throwing a couple of million at 'project' signings..

The GK, signings shows competence, so that buys some goodwill..

    Let's see..

I think this is where I'm at.

There's definitely people on here who complain more than others, and at that point I'd just be taking a break from everything Celtic related for a while, but I get why people would be a bit more impatient giving our last two windows.

The GK situation was dealt with very well by Celtic, and I'm impressed by the links to the winger and CDM recently, but that's all they are currently, links. There is a distinct lack of LB links that is slightly worrying, albeit I think Taylor starts the first few games no matter who we sign.

Hopefully we can get Bernardo tied down and at least 1 other signed before the end of July, ideally get another 2 on top of Bernardo but that's unlikely.

I’d suggest it certainly helped make his mind up or possibly even prompt him to get his agent to put the feelers out. We’ll never know, I guess.

My gut feeling is that we're gonna get a good few in over the next couple of weeks, look really strong as a result, before selling MOR to completely negate the outlays and probably then bring in 1 more to try to appease the fans... Totally net outlay, about £5M all in... Fans pleased, but not happy and board/shareholders ecstatic!

No I think he doesn't look for a new gig if lawwell isn't here.

I mean this with all due respect, but you're daft if you think Ange turns down the Spurs Job no matter what.

Did Lawwell make it easier for him to decide to leave? Possibly, but it's a step up in his career, he'd have been mad to turn it down.
