With his mood swings lately, painters have been in an awfy lot.

Knowing our board they won’t let Rodgers bring in a LB in as we’ve 2 on the books already (even though ones in loan) and think Scales/Hatatae or even Maeda can play there if stuck. Hope I’m wrong but wouldn’t put it past them.

Worried it’ll be Bernardo, Idah and depends after that who we can sell. Last minute CSC

 

Over the last 6 summer windows, we have signed 43 players. That’s an average of 7 players a season.

We will be signing more than 2xGK, 1xCM and 1xFW. Given we are trying to move players on also, we will be seeing reductions in the size of the squad overall, meaning we can add more quality to specific positions.

It’s still the middle of July, with over 6 weeks to go. We’ve now sorted out our Goalkeeper department. I’m sure we are in the process of looking at other areas of the squad urgently.

 

Genuinely cannot believe people think we're not trying to sign a left back. It's * hilariously stupid.

Even if we sign Idah, Bernardo and Kasper. Are we any better than last season yet?

Kasper is better than Hart and Sinisalo is leagues above Siegrist.

The only player we've lost that contributed last season was Oh, and he was third choice for most of it.

I'd be even more shocked than last summer if we don't get a new LB in. The board got pelters last 2 windows for not brining one in. They know we'll be up in arms if we have Taylor as first choice LB again this season.

We still need another CB, LB, CM x2 assuming MoR goes, Winger and ST.

It’s now just what we prioritise first. We should be able to negotiate multiple deals at once but knowing us we won’t be.

Biggest priority should be getting Idah and Bernardo done next week.

The Board don't care if they get pelters or if the supporters will be up in arms, they are immune to what is said about them inside the stadium and out and will carry on as if nothing had ever happened.

 

GK positions. Sorted.

Priorities:

Starting LB
CB.
CDM.
Winger.
CF.

This is the minimum requirement.

Bringing Idah and Bernardo back as states just gets us to the point we finished the season at.

2 weeks and the season starts. Need to progress things quicker.

Work to be done.

 

I think we'll get one in, it's just down to is it going to be a first teamer or a back up?

We can only hope that our negotiations are pretty water tight and only get leaked when the deal is close to complete as has been the case previously.

It's torturous but so are the publicly drawn out sagas tbf.

 

Only took 5 weeks of the window to eventually sort goalkeeper out, and we've done it correctly for once, so well done there

Another 6 weeks to go and we still need LB, CB (possibly two depending who goes), CM (potentially two if MOR leaves), left winger and right winger (and sort out the bloated *) and two strikers.
7-9 new signings with 6 weeks to go.
The speed we work at, that's unlikely to happen. But let's at least get close Celtic.

Idah and Bernardo sort out the cm and striker position, but still leaves us light if MOR leaves and the fact we have no other strikers. Albeit I expect someone else from the youth to make that step up, after Rodgers words last week on Vata. So that's 4-6 new signings that isnt lined up/youth.

With 6 weeks to go, that's one a week, we may be able to figure out how to tick one off at a time each week with the way we dealt with things.

Have a feeling it'll be competition for GT rather than an all out replacement, but I'm quite content with it. He was poor most of last season but he's earned his chance to pick his form up again imo.
