    Being serious I actually think there is a degree of truth in this with giving Rodgers big salary, there is an expectation he will be manager and DoF.

    It wouldn’t surprise me if in our efforts to keep wages down that the club see Rodgers as taking up the budget for both.

    Depends on whether or not McCarthy wants to end his contract. It's likely he will have a loyalty bonus in there of some sort plus a portion of his signing on fee. Won't be just as simple as paying off the remainder of his contract.

    Na, no where near that level.

    He made a respectable contribution in his first season, if we hadn't been stupid and just gave him a 2 year deal there would be no huge calls of what a waster.

    He might even like the routine of turning up to training all week, keeping in shape and having a kick about. Then cracking a few jokes in the changing room. Apparently he provides value to the club through his quality banter.
