Rodgers has yet to add to his squad, with Norwich having rejected an initial offer to bring Adam Idah back while talks continue with Benfica over another loanee from last season Paulo Bernardo.

A replacement for goalie Joe Hart still hasn’t been found but Rodgers is still hopeful new faces can arrive before next week’s trans-Atlantic trip.

He added: “It's natural to ask that question because we’re a club that needs to improve the squad.

“I mentioned before about getting at least a couple in before we go to America. That's still the idea.

“We all know we lost three players and they were very important players for us. That alone demonstrates we need to make that right and we also have to improve.

 

Rodgers there falling for the board's lies thinking he'll get to sign players. He's either supremely stupid or is in on the big switcheroo. Because we all know the board don't want to buy players and want their team and manager to fail.

If we have another window like the last 3 and Rodgers doesn't quit, I will take back everything I've said about him and fully admit that he is a Celtic fan. He'd be taking on a good manager with one hand tied behind his back and only a genuine Celtic fan would risk his reputation like that for the good of the club.

 

Verging on squeaky * time for me … even if we brought a good few players in they’ve got 3 and a bit weeks to bed in for the new season

This is probably the last week I'd be ok with no movement in. If we're in the same position around the 21st of July, then It's squeaky * time.

Obviously there's plenty of time left but we ideally need to get players in and settled for pre-season. I'm 99% certain we'll get a GK, CB, CM and a ST, but the lack of winger and LB rumours are worrying.

 

I agree that We are needing 6 first team quality players this summer, We got away with Lawwell's Projects last season but this season We should not put up with it, We have a chance to build on a position of strength and every time We have that choice our Board choose not to do it, all because they are worried that We will end up too far ahead of the Huns in the league and Sky Sports will drop interest in their beloved "Old Firm" games due to lack of competition, Lawwell and Co know exactly what We need to strengthen the Team but they will decide to go for the bare minimum and sign project players who are no better than We already have, Seen this Movie before many times and it always has a negative ending.

 

It's as if it's a game or a bit of fun to them where they see just how much of the bare minimum they can do each year and still win the league and then try and top it each year

 

Yang made 31 appearances last season. Oh made 26.

 

57 appearances too many...

Yang is absolutely hopeless and Oh even though I actually like him because gives it 110% is just nowhere near good enough

 

I decided I would not panic about this transfer window. Barely checked on here and in the media for rumours etc for the past month. But now, with 3 weeks to go until the league starts, I’m getting a little edgy. Surely we’re not going to sleepwalk into another title race?

 

In terms of appearances and minutes (1278) Yang was our 3rd most played winger. Yet apart from Abada, who only played 568 minutes over 11 appearances he has the worst goals/assists of any of them. And even then he's only got 1 more assist than Abada.

When looking at his contribution compared to his game time he's actually an even worse player than I thought he was

 

We literally edged it last season, The inactivity on the recruitment front is nothing short of gross negligence.

All it takes its for the circus to get its act together and we could be in real danger of playing catchup.

Just have to hope the quality that's taking time to get in materialises.

 

One thing is apparent, Kyogo and Idah will be our only strikers, Rodgers has confirmed that about Vata being 3rd striker.

 

So maybe we will see a project being purchased as third choice

 

Unless it's an exceptional talent we are signing, I'd rather we didn't and gave that project spot to the next in the youth academy. About as much chance of them being a hit.
