Agree with both of ye, far too often we keep young players around till they are 24 or so hoping thay can have a breakout season, if they aren't showing they can play a part for us by the age of say 21/22 then they should be moved on for the good of the club and the player.

Pay the £3-4 mil that Motherwell want and loan him straight back for a year as a bargaining tool. Otherwise he’ll be another Ferguson/doig/hickey

Its time to stop monitoring and act. Its been clear for some time that Miller has been a talent and the longer we leave it to move, the higher the probability that other teams will come in for him. Bigger clubs than us.

Even if we do have to pay in excess of £3m, at this moment in time that looks a sensible piece of business given the potential he has shown.

In my opinion the time to make a move was yesterday so each passing day is a day wasted.

If we couldnt come to an agreement to loan him back for a season, id put him straight into the squad. I think hes that good. We cannot let Rangers get him, the only excuse I could accept is that he would want to go to them.

I'm actually suprised he's still available. I thought our chance to get him was in January and then loan him back to motherwell for 6/18 months.

We are far too guilty of letting talented young scottish players pass us by

He's only got a year left on his contract but I think they'd want around £4 million for him.

Probably not given their situation but he will have plenty of suitors down south watching him as well. Hes probably done more that Doak and just as much as Calvin Ramsay at his age and both went to Liverpool. It wouldnt surprise me if a club that big made a move.

I think his contract runs until 2026 at Motherwell. So they can command a pretty hefty fee for him, hopefully put the zombies off.

They’re squads * but their midfield if it was Barron and miller would be a * of a lot better than it was last season

It’s mental how we * about with guys like him. Makes perfect sense to sign him and should’ve been done and dusted about a month ago.

He is meant to be a great talent but to me it isn’t so simple as we should just sign him.

From our perspective is he the type of centre midfielder we need just now? I am not convinced he is.

From a future perspective is he someone we should be bringing in definitely but from his perspective he is a first team regular playing every week, he wouldn’t be that if he comes here just now.

It’s almost a scenario where we could be doing with signing him for summer 25, like a lot of European clubs do. Even the signing and loaning back to secure him a higher wage just now and Motherwell a fee for him as he only has a year on his current deal.

The biggest issue is we can’t even get who we need now sorted let alone who we need for the future.

Also does he want to come here :56:

I'm pretty certain there's foreign interest in him. If there is in Kelly then there definitely will be in Miller.

Celtic and the Huns aren't as attractive a proposition for Scottish players at other clubs compared to days gone by. For numerous reasons.

Strange how people assume if we want players they will automatically sign for us, young players now have more options in Germany, Italy etc. Mid to lower teams there have the freedom to blood youngsters in and drop points, we draw a game and it's the end of the world. It's changed days for young Scottish players
