Celtic Transfers 2024

See all the chat of not much going on in the transfer market it is utter nonsense.

You have most of the clubs in EPL making signings or at the point of making a signing for significant money, that was one of our excuses in January nothing going on down there so no opportunities for us.

Big clubs across Europe doing business Real Madrid, Bayern, Leverkusen, Inter, Juventus, PSV, Lyon, Marseille, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea etc.

Another point worth mentioning clubs who know their CL fate or in qualifiers all looking to strengthen.

All whilst we are majorly toiling. We don’t seem to be able to move guys on which seemed like a couple of weeks ago we were making progress with. We aren’t bringing anyone in or seem that close to anyone bar Bernardo.

 

It’s absolute pish. Teams of a similar size in relatively comparable leagues are signing players.

 

I don't buy the whole 'we were close on a few deals' thing that Brendan was trotting out last window either. Who? Where were the rumours? Wherever there's negotiations on finances, there's an agent leaking to the press to get deals over the line. Yet nothing last window, nothing so far this window. Not a thing happening, still on their holidays.

 

To be fair that doesn't mean it hasn't been the case just because the press haven't got a clue..

Been players coming out long after mentioning almost signings or talks with us that the media have had no clue about..

We'll be doing stuff. As fans it's just frustrating as we want them in now and are wondering why it's taking so long. A game changing signing to start us off in the next few days would be nice and settle some of the nerves and gripes people have just now..

Aye we want quality in and it's imperative but ffs get * in..

 

Honestly, I'm chomping at the bit to see us signing someone/somecunts, but I'm not worried. Patience is a virtue.

 

Same. I was saying yesterday I'm no in panic mode but it is frustrating as we want to at least hear some decent links to get excited about/on board with..

Hopefully the talk of us going for higher calibre players is true and we get motoring in the next week..

 

I'm not in panic mode yet. That'll come mid August if we've signed one or two players.

More at the "oh here we go again" stage. Almost feels inevitable that we will be in panic mode in a month's time.

Hope we take advantage of some of the Ligue 1 clubs being in a really bad financial position … would almost make too much sense to pick up a few players from there.

 

Been the chat from early in the summer to be fair from a few people like the sheep executive. Another former player at the time if I remember right and I'm sure it was said by Harry Brady also recently..

Taylor is coming into his last year too. Might be waiting for him to return before announcing anything but we really aren't even doing the basics with squad at present if that's not the case.

 

Just laughing at the state of our dealings. Shambolic would be something to aim for.

Gonna give it a other week, then start fair, justified and well aimed criticism at the club, board and Rodgers.
