It wasn't just Southampton though I was asking about. Bit confusing giving a reason for something you don't think is actually going to happen but fair enough.

What did you think about Kyogo's performance?

He’s looking top. He's been very bright, I've got to say. He's worked very, very hard. He's come back, he's had a nice break. He's worked really hard in the training. He's looked so bright in the games that we've had. Tonight, you see the sharpness and brightness. So it's really nice for him. It's only pre-season, but as I said to the young players before the game, this is a big opportunity for you as a senior player, a young player, to go and make a good start.

Kyogo has shown a first-class attitude over the two games, hasn't he?

He'* four goals in two games, which is great. I say to the players, and he typified that - for me, they're not pre-season friendlies. They never are. It's a pre-season test. When you're a Celtic player, you walk out at a big club, it's never a friendly, because the other team will always raise the game. So, see them as a test. Kyogo, you can see he's pressing, he's running, he's moving.

Everything was really, really good. So, he started very, very bright

 

If the board sell it’s not for the money and more down to the manager at kyogo age be better keeping than cashing in at this point as he is and will be more valuable than what we paid for him so like a said if he does go it will be down to Brendan

I am actually surprised Ange hasn’t tried to take him down to the EPL. His movement and speed of thought would ensure he is good for goals down there. Not maybe as a first choice but as an option and someone he knows.

See given the money they throw about down there a £15m or something is buttons to them. That is my worry with him, that or a Bundesliga club with cash to spend.

I think Kyogo is that perfect middle ground between being a great Celtic player but has enough deficiencies that the top leagues are put off him.

Ange shopping is a very different market these days, bare in mind our best defender and one of our best players couldn’t even get a sniff in a poor Tottenham defence at that time.

 

What an example to the younger lads n new lads coming in. Great attitude and always looking to work hard and improve. Hopefully he’s back to his best this season.
