Wouldn’t be against this at all, but at the fee being quoted (£5-7m), you’d maybe think we might be able to do better in a different market. That said, we have a good track record with former English Championship defenders.

Tbh mate that also could’ve been said about CCV when we were first linked with him in fairness though I had seen a bit of CCV before we got him so I was confident he’d be good. I haven’t seen any of this lad now but I do like that profile of player, was in a top academy at a big club then has a great season in championship which is a very good competitive league.

Don't shout at me for the bump.

Been snooping on QPR forums and the majority think he was easily their POTY and that he is the best defender in the Championship.

I haven't seen him before but if they love him so much, I want him.

Any team with Rangers in it, I want them to suffer.

General concensus is that their board would accept anything between £3m-£7m.

its a strange one with them, called rangers, but play in and refer to themselves as the hoops.

Dunno much about him but any I do hear is positive , if it’s for 3-4m then yeah I’d be all over it , would be happy to bring in this lad and McKenna and ship out Welsh , kobyashi and lagerbielke , , for what we would bring in in shipping those theee would cover the two incomings and it already makes us stronger.

QPR have a lot of Irish backing, as they settled in that area of London. Trevor Sinclair is a tim, and that's good enough for me.

But I agree, just give them what they want.

Would be really surprised if he wouldn't want to leave QPR for the champions league

Aye, they finished 18th, 6 points clear of the drop.

They'll be the same next season.

Do that or play in Champions League?

He will move, what I saw was he has a clause in his QPR contract where if an EPl club comes in for him then there is a price he can go for. I know that doesn’t affect us but there are rumoured to be 3 or 4 lower EPL teams sniffing about so we may get Gazumped.

He does seem like he would be a good partner for CCV.

Get him along with McKenna, shift out Welsh & Lager that’s our centre backs sorted. Would give us massive depth and avoid any nightmares like last season with injuries.

Used to play in Green & White Hoops originally, 3rd strip is often Green & White Hoops.. I'm sure I read they were started by a Rangers fan and a Queens Park fan and when we adopted the Hoops they changed theirs to Blue & White.

Edit: a quick scan of the internet would seem the above may only be partly true:56:

He’s the defender I want most. I think he could strike a serious partnership with CCV. Left footed, quick, powerful, strong, excellent with the ball at his feet.

Him and McKenna in for Lagerbielke, Kobayashi and Welsh and we are laughing. 2 in, 3 out. Trimming the squad in one position and upgrading the quality. CCV, JCS, Nawrocki, McKenna and Scales.

I watch a fair bit of qpr, have family in London that support them, himself and Cook were excellent this season and he would be a massive improvement on Scales, what would worry me is that until the second half of this season, he couldn't stay fit. Last season he'd play 4 games and then miss 5, numerous different injuries constantly. If that's all behind him he'd be a quality signing.

Clarke-Salter and Carter-Vickers pairing would be very satisfying.

He's one I was hoping we'd get. Glad we managed to monitor him though.
