Great news. Manager wanted him and we know he can cut it here.

Good to see us finally getting some business done

I think we all saw this coming.

He's loved his time at Celtic. He won silverware, played for a big club that has massive links to his homeland, he's actually played and scored and has worked under Rodgers and has his trust.

... Why would you gamble all that on maybe playing well under whoever the * is at Norwich?

Their manager knows if he wants him in the squad or not. Regardless, players have all the power and if they want to leave, there's little a club can do to hold onto them.

It's clear Idah only wants to play for Celtic. I expect Celtic knew this and low balled Norwich to give Idah a kick to play his cards.

Delighted if we get this over the line as he popped up with some crucial points throughout the season and will only get better.

I do agree...I do think he will improve as well...but yeah £5m-£6m to get it done is fine.

No chance! 15-20 - bordering on 15 (I've followed him through Ireland) but I still like him!

The Lads a hun skelper and played a massive part in securing the double in a very average team last season. He scored some massive goals already and knows what it takes to play up here.

He's a long way from the finished article but if his Killie performance is anything to go by its clear he can improve us and himself.. Did I mention, he's a hun skelper..:BR1:

An upgrade on Oh, not a £6m player for me, but happy to be proved wrong.

He probably isn't but he's shown far more in 6 months than Oh has in 18 months. Looks like we will be selling Oh for £4.2m and replacing him with Idah for around £6m.

It's incredible business in the striker department.

Still leaving space for a talented young teenager during our yearly injury crises aswel. Great business.

Still think we should bring in someone like Kvistgaarden, who can play as 3rd choice striker but also on the wings.

You know he was just here for 6 months aye? Scored 9, in a pretty * Celtic team.

With a half a season and a preseason behind him here, his confidence and happiness sky high, he will hit 20 no bother.

There seems to be 2 conflicting reports, one saying a low bid was rejected and another saying he's pushed it and it's going to happen. I can imagine there's truth to both, Celtic knew he would push for it so low-balled. If we'd bid 6m straight away I think they'd say £8m as you want him. I think we will get him for £6m with him pushing it. While he has a long contract with them, the reality is it's not worth risking. He was their second choice, and they could risk him downing tools and going for * all next season. Even if Sargent does leave I'd imagine they'd recruit for someone to start above Idah.

I think his finishing is a bit iffy at times still, definitely some parts of his game needing work. But it's all there for me having watched him over 4 months, can definitely see what Rodgers first saw before bringing him in.

Big thing for me is he will give his all, as well as contributing in big games. Clearly wants to be here and that counts for a lot in modern football.

    He's a £6m player in modern football.

Chris Sutton was a long time ago.

The guy scored a goal every 75 minutes in the league and every 89 minutes overall. I think he only started 7 games overall too.

I'm still unsure about him. That game he played for Ireland before the Euros showed his lack of awareness. A couple of his team mates were screaming at him at times.

Having said that, he'll be ok as back up but we need better.

Having him in from the start of the campaign as opposed to only from January will be huge for us. Will be a better option up top for us in CL games than kyogo too I think with his physicality and hold up game. Could possibly go 2 up top. Also seen how vital he was on away days for us in the league. Be delighted to get him in

£4m for Oh is indeed a good bit of business if true. As for Idah, I'll reserve judgment as I'd like to see what he does with a run of starts.
