I must be the only one who hopes we don't get him .I think we could get a lot better for the money they want . Would rather have miovski from Aberdeen

 

I've seen plenty of Miovski and I can't imagine him changing games the way Idah did at times last season when he came on. I don't dislike Miovski but he doesn't have the physicality of Idah and that was a big part of why he was a success last term.

 

I'm sure there's a reason why we haven't made a move for Idah, whom BR said he wanted here for the coming season even before the old campaign had finished, until now, but at this moment in time I can't think of one.

 

The old, offer them the bare minimum…….

Don’t want to waste time over this when we can move for Miovski. We’ve already wasted too much time.

 

I don't get the hard on for Miovski. The main thing Idah brings for us is his physicality. It gives us something from Kyogo

 

He's nothing special so wouldn't go over 5m..
Doesn't excite as much as he's been here for half a season..

 

Brings something different to the team and a definite upgrade on Oh but wouldn't pay over the odds and don't want to drag this out either

 

It’s actually * ridiculous that’s what they have bid.

We have accepted a larger bid for Oh, from Genk, than we have bid for Idah.

£4.2m for Oh plus add ons
£4m for Idah plus add ons.

Given what the man was responsible for bringing us last season, it’s embarrassing we have went in that low.

 

4m seems perfectly normal for a player that only played football for avout a season in his whole career, and that was on loan to us

I would say 4m is generous and if he played in for example Holland sitting on the bench for years he would not be worth more than 2 mill.

Oh was sold for that because we are fairly respectable on the market. Norwich isnt

£4 million is a joke, they were never going to accept that. £6 million is realistic but if they really don’t want to sell him then we would have to go to at least £8 million +. Never going to happen

 

Its typical but Classic Celtic, go in with a lowball offer knowing fine well it will be rejected and continue to * about then panic when someone else comes in, seen it before with the McGinn saga

 

See the talk of a low offer. Before we showed interest they were happy to ship him out to Italy on a loan to buy for £3.5m.

He did well up here mostly and they are trying to capitalise on it like we are with Mikey Johnston. Is either player worth their inflated fee asking price, probably not.

This happening or not will come down to Idah discussing with their new manager. A lot depends on how Idah approaches that if he says he wants to go, the manager will likely want him sold to give him funds to invest in his squad.

 

I think our next offer will be £5m which will be rejected. We will then walk away rather than give the £6m they are looking for and so we will then end up getting Miovski for £5m...

This is typical of the way Celtic do business in every transfer window - frustrating, embarrassing and tight fistedness doesn't even come close...

 

4 million is nothing in the English market. If Rodgers wants him, get him.

 

We all know how this plays out. We string it out until the last day. And he'll sign on loan with an obligation to buy.

 

Genuinely laughable we offered 4 knowing fine well he is worth more and that it would be rejected, stop fannying about and get the deal done.

Didn't know that about the 3.5m loan to buy. In that case offering 4m is perfectly reasonable, and turns the situation on it's head in that it looks like Norwich are being a bit opportunistic.

Happy enough the club has started at 4 given the circumstances now, hopefully it pays off and we find the middle ground with Norwich over the next couple of weeks. Down to Nicholson now to earn his dough.

 

I wouldn't want us to be paying more than 4-5m, think people started massively overrating him after he scored in the final, his all round performances never blew me away outside of that one game he ragdolled Kilmarnock. Half a season as 2nd choice up here and now he's worth 8m? Naw.
