Seen on kds we were supposedly prepared to spend £10million on a Hull defender. But they were wanting closer to £20million. So who knows maybe we are planning on spending a few bob on a centre half

 

Id say there could be something in this.. id say around 4/5mill on the fee. Would he significant upgrade on scales

Know who he is but can't say I've seen much of him. I imagine ball playing if he was starting under Kompany? Quick?

He's right footed, played a fair bit at right back for west brom when breaking through.. not the biggest for a centre half, abrasive decent defender.. not a slouch in terms of pace. Hed a be a decent all rounder that gets stuck in.

Celtic want to make a summer move for Burnley defender Dara O’Shea.

The Scottish champions are keen to land the Republic of Ireland international. Celtic have made an approach to the Clarets but the move is up in the air. Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in quality that can help Celtic make an impact in the Champions League and O’Shea is on his wanted list. It would take a major bid for Burnley to even consider selling, as they bought O’Shea for £7 million from West Bromwich Albion last year.

A Burnley source has told Record Sport that O’Shea remains a major player for their club. They added that it is also unlikely any decision on Celtic’s approach would be made until Burnley appoint a new manager or head coach. They have been on the lookout since Vincent Kompany quit for Bayern Munich and are currently going through the recruitment process

O’Shea was a major player for the Clarets in the Premier League last season and It remains to be seen if they would be willing to cash in now or keep to make sure they get out of the Championship at the first time of asking. The 25-year-old already has 26 Irish caps.



O’Shea came through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion and then moved to Turf Moor. Celtic went with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales for long spells last season.

 

Seemed highly rated at West Brom, would be a statement and Dermot might splash out as he's Irish

Sounds like kinda * Lawell would pull to back up his "we couldn't get it over the line" patter come AGM time.
Make the enquiry, leak it, get a reliable source to confirm it in the media, walk away from it.
