McGinn I 100% agree with you on. Whether he’d still be here or lured away by the English pound is probably another question.

Hickey and Ferguson highlight a big issue I think we have in that we can’t offer guys like that (at the level they were at when they first went to Italy) guaranteed game time to develop in the pressure environment we’re in. We all knew both had potential, but would they have realised that to the same extent here? I honestly doubt it. Personally I think we need to do a better job of sweeping up young Scottish talent and then loaning them out to develop.

Don't even think any of the regulars on KDS have said he's signing, seen a few new posters saying it and that's it.

I do think he'd be a good addition alongside another CB (i.e. Starfelt, Clarke-Salter, Mepham etc) but the people who don't want him are getting worked over a player who hasn't even been credibly linked.

It was the exact same with Amartey. Not one credible link outside Turkey said he was signing yet people went into a frenzy when it was said we bid £4 million for him.

 

Pendrick or whatever his name is on KDS and everyone like him have about a 99,6% pishtalk rate.

I just find it extremely cringe how famous and "well respected" these guys are. These guys are sitting in their moms basement typing * thinking they are the * Fonz.

 

Iv only seen 1 credible guy and it was the one breaking the rodgers news. Every single detail.. what's he saying? Was that rodgers?

 

The only one i have seen that always seem to have some info is Notorious / Paul the tim

Don't buy into all those who claim to be in the know at all. Id imagine majority make logical guesses based on profile of player and availability - sometimes it happens and more often than not it doesn't.

McKenna is a great example of the above. Scottish player looking for a club that played at fairly decent level before being linked to us. Not a hard rumour to conjur up or think about.

That being said, if there is any truth in this, I am not against it completely. We should probably be aiming higher but when lawell is in the building we never will - I'd sooner take someone like McKenna that I know would do a steady job besides CCV, as opposed to taking a put from a 2nd league Korean team again

 

We need a certain number of Scottish players for Europe and just to ensure there are those in the squad who 'get it'. Decent player, decent age, and he's on a free. Why not.

 

I hope McKenna signs, will probably be on holiday at the moment after the Euro's, think We would be stupid to not to go for him.

 

Where are you getting your stats from? From what i can see scales had a passing accuracy just under 90% last season for us, and Mckenna hasnt achieved better than that.

Look at the teams they play for and the leagues those teams are in.

Actually checked out of curiosity, when he went to Copenhagen his passing accuracy was higher than Scales. Obviously it wasn’t at Forest, as would be expected.

You need to look at context when you look at stats.
