Would tend to believe this guy as he's been spot on before when it comes to Cameron

Multiple Turkish Super Lig clubs were previously interested in American defender Cameron Carter-Vickers earlier this spring and one continues to be heading into the summer.

Besiktas is interested in the U.S. men’s national team centerback, a source close to the player confirmed to SBI. However, Carter-Vickers remains happy with his current role at Celtic, with his contract set to run until May 2029.

West Ham United and Ipswich Town have also reportedly expressed interest in the American defender, per reports.

Carter-Vickers, 26, is currently with the USMNT ahead of the 2024 Copa America tournament. The Americans open group stage play on Sunday, June 23 against Bolivia.

Carter-Vickers is coming off his third SPFL title success with Celtic this past season. Carter-Vickers made 31 combined appearances in Brendan Rodgers’ squad, while also lifting the Scottish Cup for a second time in his career.

After originally joining Celtic on loan during the 2021-22 campaign, Carter-Vickers has featured in 115 matches for the Scottish giants, winning seven trophies. He previously featured for seven clubs in England including Tottenham, Swansea City, Sheffield United, and Luton Town.

Besiktas took a major dip in 2023-24, finishing sixth in the Super Lig standings. They will be part of the UEFA Europa League playoffs later this summer while Celtic enters the UEFA Champions League group stage in September

It would be madness to sell CCV. People are worried about losing O’Riley, we can still function as a team without O’Riley but without CCV we are a push over and a mess defensively.

For his name is Carter Vickers he's the Celtic center back. His forte it is stopping, the Huns when they attack. He's here he's there he's everywhere the best you've ever seen, he's Cameron Carter Vickers in the hoops of white and green.

What is with all the players linked to Turkey recently? It hasn't been a regular league for Scottish based players to go, and when they have it's normal gone badly. It looks like a league to avoid.

CCV would be a massive loss to us. He does look committed and happy here, but the appeal and money of the English premier league is always a worry.

His injury records been far too patchy for how much it’d take for us to accept a bid. If he was playing 50 games a season, it’d look a better option.

They don't. Its a joke he doesn't start when fully fit. But fine by me means less chance of him getting injured.

Watched the 2nd half, he was really poor. Looked like a different player. Lucky not to give away 2 pens and was on his heels for their winner. USA were mince to a man but down to 10 men for most of the game.

Fine by me hopefully he doesn't have to play much more for the Americans and makes it back to us injury free.

Whats even more hilarious is once again the US gets to play all their games on home soil as they mostly do so instead of actually travelling to South America and actually learning how to play when your up against it in an unfamiliar environment they chose to play at home where there do for a significant majority of their games especially competitive ones. Yet they will likely be knocked out at the group stage if they lose the last group game to Uruguay.

Always seems to be fairly poor for the national team. Strange.

Didn’t see it meself but if he came on as a late sub I always think it’s hard for defenders coming on in a game. Seen it with him being subbed on in the champions league game for us was it when he made a mistake which led straight to a goal.
